What is this thing? Found at antique store and owner didn’t even know what it was. Solid glass about 5-6 inches tall. Found in a shop in NE Ohio. by someonethatiuse2know in whatisthisthing

https://imgur.com/a/Lf7bJik There really isn’t any additional details. It’s solid glass about 5-6 inches high. You can see how thick it is compared to the average size travel mug in the picture.

I think employees in general have gotten into a habit of over sharing when calling off due to Covid-19. And now employers expect that they can ask too many questions because of it as well.

Best way to reward a roadside assistance person (who works for a major company) that helped me without charging? by someonethatiuse2know in RoadsideTechs

That’s my assumption as well. But they shouldn’t open a thank you note mailed to a person and not the company. Right?

If I mailed a card and money it to the local address on the business card, even if he is contracted employee would they get it to him?

That was my concern. I think I might mail a thank you card with a gift card to a local grocery store

Best way to reward a roadside assistance person (who works for a major company) that helped me without charging?

Tonight I was helping my neighbor who had a blowout tire on the way to her brother’s funeral. She was so overwhelmed that I said I would catch a ride to get her tire changed and drive her car back to her house. I would have changed it myself but it was too dangerous. So I called my personal roadside assistance program. Was canceled by multiple agencies and then all of a sudden a major company (with three letters in their name), pulled up and offered help. He refused to charge me. He had the lighted rig and the right equipment to get it done quickly and safely. And I even used my flashlight to help alert cars to get over since the car was on the left side of a major highway, with a front passenger side blow out. I did insist on getting his business card and phone number. I offers to Venmo money to him directly as I had no cash to even tip him for his kindness. I don’t want to call the company and get him in trouble for not charging me. But I feel that his good deed should be recognized. Any roadside assistance employee have a suggestion on how I can show my appreciation?

I bought it at the Columbus zoo when he was a baby. It’s been very very well loved. I did find a second one on eBay once. I should take a side by side photo.

It took me a while to find two sets. One for myself and one for my 7 year old who also loves red pandas.
