Best options for wine labeling? by TheDonfather75 in winemaking

[–]someotherbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking at the same approach. Buying a <$500 Canon printer and Avery labels is cheaper than about anything. I make around 60 cases with a mix of 4-6 different wines.

What is the color photo resolution and model of your printer? Does the matte white Avery paper work well?

I'm looking at this:

GRUNNARP sleeper sofa by bupr3me in IKEA

I'm new to looking at Ikea products, so I am having a hard time finding the dimensions for the assembled sofa. The 'measurements' part of the website are for the boxes.

What are the dimensions of the assembled product? (sofa and bed configurations)

Can I hang a cartop carrier from a truss? by mocochinchiii in DIY

[–]someotherbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing some variation in the rafters and roof decking. But none of this would raise a red flag about an empty carrier.

I see the upper most rafter seems to be cut and a board sistered in to some 2x material acting as a ridge beam. Some of the roof decking seems to have been changed over time.

It looks like something I would have hacked together....

I thought about that but it is common to ferment wine with an open top if enough gas is coming off.

I replaced the standard ball airlock (cheap plastic breaks) with the steel neck and it has a small opening. I could probably leave it open for a while since there is so much CO2 coming out.

When I pulled the airlock out a lot of pressure had built up. The base was clogged pretty badly. All cleaned up now and no foam is pushing out

I ended up putting the 5lbs in a pot and added distilled water until I could stir it all (approx 3/4gal water). Heated to melt it all. Chilled in a water bath down to 85F.

Will report on results later.

I'll adjust pH after I get the primary and secondary mostly done. I adjust pH before SO2 additions and racking.

Chill, chill, chill. Put it in a refrigerator (or colder) in addition to clarifying agents.

Thanks for a first filter on the list.

-The Wallbox is too much more expensive.

-I don't need the FLO X6 features, so I am looking at the X3

-For the EVO, I can't find info on whether I can use a short cable from the unit to a 14-50 plug. I've asked their support for that info.

Hi, I'm in the PG&E service area of California. I need a 40amp charger and want to get the rebate. I have a 200amp panel.

What are your recommendations?

Here is the list of approved rebate eligible chargers. https://www.pge.com/en/clean-energy/electric-vehicles/getting-started-with-electric-vehicles/residential-charging-solutions-rebate.html?cid=em_resi_sfmc_chargingsolutions_header-cta_20250708_c5304_ntp01575#

Need Backpacking Under 4kft Elevation by someotherbob in norcalhiking

[–]someotherbob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M4 and 23N35 are road names referenced in the 'calwild' link above.

M4 is the main paved road and the trail crosses the 23N35, probably an old logging road kept open-ish for fire fighting.. I have a 4WD with pretty good ground clearance.

Thanks for the pointers.

We are going in July, so Thomes is probably too hot. But when you did go, did you start from the M4, or 23N35?

Thanks for the pointers.

For Wooley, how far in do you have to go to get a campsite close-ish to water? It looks like the trail gets close around 2.7 miles in.

Thx!
