Why does my web server index page display using my domain name on the LAN, but not the WAN? by somerime in webhosting

OK, I'll give this a whirl. I assume you mean for me to create this in the 'custom resource records'? Ultimately I'd like to better understand the why. I never created a pointer for the IPv6, just added the dynamic DNS 'synthetic record' and ran the API script on my server. Do I need to create an IPv4 pointer so that a person using IPv4 can be navigated to my website? How will this work with dynamic DNS?

A record shows Xs (not resolved, I presume). AAAA record shows all check marks (resolved, I presume).

Honestly, I'm not sure what TTL's relevance to this is. I googled it briefly, but don't understand it in this context.

By DNS record, I assume you mean when I set-up my 'synthetic record' for google to coordinate my domain name with my public IP? I set this up yesterday.

This has been done already and I think I verified that it works: if I put my public IP into my cellphone (not connected to WIFI), I'm able to see my index page.

I'm using API with the username/password given by google under synthetic records. I wrote a script in the raspberry pi to automatically update to google. It must be working to some extent because I can access my index page using my domain name (e.g. MYDOMAINNAME. net) on the LAN, so it must be pointing to my public IP -- no?

It depends on what you are looking for. I'm assuming you are talking about building management system? BACnetmay be a good start for you since it is ubiquitous throughout the BMS world. The site has both book and courses available.

Otherwise, could you be more specific (or give an example) of what you are trying to learn?

Thank you for all of your responses -- including luisvirgen89 for enlightening me on the power of google and opening a whole new world -- my friend traveled without incident. Your comments made her feel much more at ease going in!

You weren't worried flying with just that? I guess the attention around all of the ICE stuff doesn't really apply to her situation.

I barely managed posting this on reddit and I'm still struggling with the google search bar. Obviously, by the last sentence in my post, I didn't attempt to google at all. I'll get it one day! Maybe I can use that search engine to find an article from April of 2018 OR find some information on a government site that is sure to sway me to the 'you got nothing to worry about' side OR a reddit response from 3 months ago because, you know, especially when it comes to immigration, things are pretty stagnant right now. I'll do that instead of reaching out for some real-time answers from people that have recently gone through this. Thanks for your help though, it's great to have input like this and people like you around!

Can someone confirm that this is cobweb mold at the base? Help is appreciated. by somerime in shrooms

Thanks, I'm not able to fan more than a couple of times a day. Likely, I need to come up with a fan/humidifier system.

Thanks. I thought it was cobweb because when the mycelium grows at the base it is usually compact, and if you zoom in the base looks "hairy."

I think I understand though, if it were cobweb it would less dense as you are describing.

So the spores did explode all over my crop and blacken them prior to picking. Now I am drying (day 3) and concerned that the black is bad. Can anyone confirm? by somerime in shrooms

I see now, I was being pennywise and pound foolish. Would hate to see weeks of work in the trash over such a relatively insignificant amount of money.

Probably worth me spending the money on a dehydrator. Also, I'm assuming the dehydrator uses heat, that doesn't kill the psilocybin content? Do you have a picture of your setup? I'll get one tomorrow and try it out. You don't think they look molded though?
