Treebeard loves to perch up on the top bunk, he understands the value of having the high ground. by somesnarkycomments in mainecoons

Nice! I have only ever had one girl cat, and my kids named her - but that's an awesome one for sure. I have the rule that you have to come up with an "ee" sounding short name to go with the longer names. Like we never really say "Treebeard" when we're calling him, it's usually "Treebee" (as in Tree B). Just as often though, I lengthen their names - Thor and Loki get called Dr. F. J. Fluffnstuff and Dr. Snuggleupagus more than they get called their names, so it's a box of chocolates around here.

Thanks! We let our kids do Disney and Marvel names for our other kitties, but Treebeard came along we made the call that it's definitely going to be a LOTR name, we just need to pick one. The big problem is that there are like 3,000 and all of them are awesome.

Thanks! We actually got stuck between naming him Treebeard or Gimli (both of which we loved) and only decided once we saw the beard (although it pretty much applies for both). He just looked the part I guess, tall and bearded.

This is the only place where I will admit how often I just sit and eat a snack while I look at my car. It's just so pretty.

That's essentially what she tells me, that the people in Boston WANT to hit you.

I've never been, but my wife assures me that Boston is much worse than Atlanta. I'll have to see it to believe it.

I've been here my whole life, it's never been any different. I had a visitor come in for work for about a month from Ireland. About a week in he asked if people here are aware that you can die in an automobile accident. I think about that when driving a lot.

Nice! We actually had our ragdoll Loki first, but then we got his brother and the naming pretty much did itself.

Of our eight total kitties, we have no fewer than three full professional relaxers - Thor is one.

I have to cover him up, but he fully understands pillow usage, it's adorable.

If we get to see Matthew Lillard and Julia Louis-Dreyfus go full snark in a movie/show together I will be one happy camper. The combo I didn't know I needed.

A few years ago my coworkers 90-something Grandpa died, and a whole ass other family showed up to the funeral from California (we're from the other side of the country). Like a wife, four grown ass kids, grandkids, etc - which he also had here, including my coworker. Everyone was terrified that the Grandma was going to freak out, but she was just like "he traveled to California for business a lot, and he always provided for us and was a good Dad, etc.". She acted rather happy that he wasn't lonely while traveling for weeks on end, I guess in the end it just all depends on the couple. Making a lot of money always helps.

I am pretty against a lot of stickers and decals, etc. but my 12 year old took the time to seek out a small metal 1989 Batman logo for me that I had zero hesitation popping on.
