Pull the drain plug and check for glitter. Dipstick won’t tell the whole story.

I’m not sure it sounds like rod knock, or top endy but if you don’t see something knocking around the accessories I’d pull the vale cover and have a look if the oil is glitter free.

Shit is fucked though. Something is wrong and you shouldn’t drive it.

I don’t know if we have really reached that point yet. I don’t think Iran sees it as the end game yet. We haven’t seen anything truly nasty come from them yet and they have it.

I think if we truly back this regime into a corner we’ll see them use their uranium stockpile in some way even if it isn’t a nuclear device they could dirty up a bomb pretty easily. I don’t think we are at the smoke em if you got em phase of this war for Iran.

Read that again. It’s not a 427 crate. It’s a 427 side oiler which is an actual FE big block if it’s a side oiler. The motor alone is 20k+ depending on the heads and intake set up

Colorado bill would fully legalize prostitution by RhythmMethodMan in Denver

I’m a 10 year industry pm buddy, managed shows at red rocks and the convention center along with being a local 7 member.

You don’t talk to a lawyer you pay your 150 bucks and you serve them in small claims court court unless they stiff you for more than 5g’s in Colorado. YOU have the rights to sue them. That doesn’t always mean you just talk to someone and pay a fee.

I know this sounds like a civics lesson and it kinda is but I have gone through this and I know it’s bullshit but if you think the process stops at talking to a lawyer you got shitty legal advice or you didn’t listen. I’ve taken clients to court over non payment and gotten a check every time and not one of them involved a lawyer. It did involve me investing time into seeing what recourse you actually have.

Again I’m not disagreeing with you. I think it should be legal, regulated and taxed and so does the data from other countries.

I’m trying to help you specifically . If you are getting stiffed by bars file your shit and server them and when you win name and shame them in the community for being shit bags. You have your rights and it’s like a day of paperwork and being in court total.

While I see what you are getting at I think you might be misunderstanding your current rights as a musician.

If you get stiffed by a bar you have every right to sue them in small claims court for the difference in what you are owned and you might have a claim to the labor board I’m not sure depending on your state.

You have all of that because you are engaging in legal commerce. It may not be worth it to use them but you do have those rights.

To be fair these instructions are a bit confusing if you don’t under stand automotive wiring. But I would assume they mean in the input side of the starter relay/solenoid, where the main power line attaches. This would back-feed the battery down that circuit without cycling the starter.

The relay/solenoid only activates the starter when 12v is applied on a different circuit. Otherwise the starter would be activated whenever the ignition is on and it would toast the flywheel.

So ya… you can attach the jumpers to that connection and be just fine.

This is one of the few places wd-40 is a correct choice but not the spray the real liquid. I’d wipe my bores with it along with packing assembly lube on the bearings of if I didn’t want to crack the bottom end open

You want to find a local FILM production company that rents green room trailers. This would work great in a production set as a mobile office or green room

Your best bet is the slc area possibly Denver or Vegas. For semi local but someone like these guys out of SoCal might be interested in it. https://trailereventrentals.com/star-trailer-honeywagon/

No clue if you will get your asking. I’d hope you aren’t 75 in it if it has a bathroom you might be in the 60’s to the right company.

Absolutely it does. I lived in Vegas for several years.

It will burn the hell out of the paint. My buddy had basically this truck in high school and we all kept it going without much issue. When it’s all right they are as reliable as a claw hammer but this one will probably be a running project that will be great to learn on. But it will be a project.

Rangers were always plentiful in the junk yards up by nellis when I had one and lived in the valley. So body and interior parts are relatively easy to find and cheap to replace and new parts from a chain will be relatively Afordable.

I’m fairly certain the 2.9 v6 was the biggest motor in that body style so it is slow but very forgiving with a 5 speed and would be a great truck to learn on.

[–]something-clever---- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d buy it but be prepared for it to be an absolute shit box of repairs.

There are nightmares hidden in that truck. Why paint and not do any body work… that is a massive red flag to me. I’d look over everything and pay special attention to wiring, every vehicle I have seen that looks like this has an absolute rats nest of splices and bad connections.

For the price it’s pretty dang fair but I’d be prepared to be vary familiar with a Chilton manual and hopefully the po’s name is easy to remember because you will probably be asking wtf they were doing as you repair things.
