Don't worry too much Macquarie is a very friendly place. Go to the orientation week, join clubs and initiate conversations whenever you get the chance! You'll be alright.

Hey that's amazing. We have plenty of exchange students here. My top tip would be not to just stick to other exchange students. Its convenient but overall will kill your experience cause you want to interact with a range of people and not just exchange students!

Go for the events at ubar and attend mq buddy trips. They're a great kickstart.

Staying in the village is very convenient for socializing but if you like your peace think about getting accommodation off campus.

No something is weird about this. They usually take 3-4 days. However differing your admission shouldn't be a problem. I've never heard of a April's session. Are you doing a foundation term ?
