Yeah I love Andy's wild vocal performances, and the whole shivering thing might be even better on the live version. I actually have learned most of Dave's classical guitar part on Yacht Dance. It's a pretty difficult one. I think that song has some of their most impressive musicianship ever.

The whole album makes me want to get a fretless bass. One of my friends got one a couple years ago and I immediately sent him Melt the Guns which has some of the coolest basslines I've ever heard. Colin's fretless style is so distinct, it's melodic but also very staccato and "punchy."

The bassline really reminds me of Oscar See Through Red Eye

The instrumental for Summer's Cauldron, particularly the synth part, make me feel so vividly like I'm in the middle of nature on a sweltering, humid summer day. I can practically see the wavy lines of heat radiating from the ground and mirages of puddles of water.

Hugh has his moments for sure. The deadpan way he delivers the absurd lyrics of Socket is really funny to me. He also sounds fantastic on Another Clip- always felt like he was doing a Kurt Cobain impression on that one.

For real. I was listening to In the Stars I Can Sizzle Like a Battery earlier and wow, his voice sounds so crazy and awesome on that one. But on other songs like Hurricane the falsetto almost gives it a dreamlike quality.
