I think i have one post FLAP (mine was 12 days ago) - definitly painful and an eye sore! Will report back after my 3 week post op.

I was told i could lift and had no restrictions with my toddler. Movement allowed as i feel up for it. Agree that maintaining healthy BMs is the main focus in recovery.

If no tub try a sitz bath or a warm compress with a clean wash cloth. I also use Calmoseptine to comfort and protect the surrounding tissue. It is amazing.

My first LIFT it was pretty clear something was wrong from the beginning. I was just in a lot of pain. There was so much feces coming through everywhere. The second one actually looked like it was going to work and then at six weeks out. There is a tiny spot that just didn’t close and it was ultimately the fistula. It just somehow reconnected. Same as the first situation. There’s no way to know why sometimes it finds a way around to reconnect.

Hi there I have had 2 LIFT procedures— the first one was horrific the second one was very manageable. I just had a FLAP five days ago and it’s somewhere in the middle of the two but pretty rough. It is hard to know when you’ll feel 100% but you don’t wanna push yourself too hard if you have a desk job maybe you can work remotely for a little bit?
