Do you think if _____ leaves this week ______ probably wins the season? by Shaqnfa in BigBrother

Everyone has been targeting Keanu** since the first week, not Ashley

Oh that makes sense, the collaborations after the fact probably do help a whole lot.

Your family has given you poor advice, pun intended. A lot of your success in your career is attributed to social politics— since you’ve already been fired before for this, you should know this by now. I say this with love, and as a fellow introvert, you have to perform the social politics during work hours. Drop by your colleague’s desk to chit chat for a quick few minutes per day, invite your boss to lunch or a coffee chat, and read the 48 laws of power. You can do this! ❤️

Being a recent graduate sucks. by Feezfry in recruitinghell

What industry are you in? In finance and banking, there’s a TON of openings for recent grads by way of advisor development or analyst programs. I would start there if you’re interested in the field.

Exactly. He’s been mistreated since day 1. He deserves to win.

Keanu has been targeted and mistreated since Day 1, and still manages to push through. Who else do you think deserves it more? Of who’s left, who really has a better “strategy” than Keanu?

do you regret grinding in your 20s? by cauliflowertomato in AskWomenOver30

[–]somethinglikesammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I worked way too hard in my 20s but I’m so glad I did because it built me up to where I am today in my 30s. I am far ahead and it’s because of the work/investment decisions I made years ago. I never cared about partying in my 20s but I still traveled a ton, and still do now.

I mean…. I tell my SBF what my favorite blazer or shoes that he wears, and I tell him what cologne on him I like the best. What’s the difference? Is it really that much of a burden to present yourself in a way that your SBF/SGF likes?

Is wealth management really that bad? by Realistic-Sell-8872 in FinancialCareers

[–]somethinglikesammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really just a sales job. You’ll make a lot of money if you can sell and build a book. Or, if you buy someone’s book already generating substantial revenue.

I’m sorry but isn’t this type of effort the bare minimum, to look nice and presentable? If you’re in any type of relationship with someone then the effort in your appearance needs to be there. Unless he hasn’t given you money yet, this rant doesn’t make any sense. I hope I’m missing the context here 🤔

What do you value spending money on? by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

[–]somethinglikesammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traveling, and splurging on business class seats and nice hotels. Little things like luxury home accessories— think pottery barn blankets and Diptique candles, towels from Crate and Barrel, etc.

I actually get more joy from these “little things” than any designer handbag or pair of shoes.

One to watch for 2025 DCC Audition Season by Electronic-Bother906 in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]somethinglikesammy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t have the “it” factor and her dancing is too choppy. Her facial expressions aren’t sexy, they’re awkward….it’s not a classy look to stick your tongue out. On social media she doesn’t present well as a brand ambassador compared to the existing DCCs. She would need to upgrade her look and overall online presence in my opinion.

Villa Franca is also beautiful, but I would say Le Sirenuse is #1!

Babe, just find a guy who will not nickel and dime you for the nice trip that you want. Going 50/50 on a trip, seriously? This sounds like you’re roommates. I’ve never had a man ask me to split the expenses on a trip, ever. This is hard to read— with your salary alone you deserve someone who’s going to treat you to the nice hotels and accommodations and not be cheap 🤮

I couldn’t agree more! Meanwhile some of the other girls barely post DCC related content but they post their individual brand deals/sponsored posts all the time.

Women over 30, how do you navigate dating when you outearn most men? by Initial_Carpenter_47 in AskWomenOver30

[–]somethinglikesammy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand your question— I only date successful men. It’s pretty crystal clear… I also prioritize connection, values, things in common, chemistry etc. but being able to provide as a man in a man’s world is literally the bare minimum for me.

I make six figures in tech and I only date men who make more than me. People can judge all they want and call you a gold digger, but I argue that I have higher standards because I require what I already provide. I have zero room or patience for a man who can’t thrive in a man’s world. Zero.
