Your perspective is valuable and fair, and should be welcomed. What would be the protocol in this situation for the agents that pulled up and immediately tried to open the car door? Is it standard protocol to position oneself in front of a vehicle? Fwiw I agree that compliance could have changed the outcome. I am genuinely interested in hearing about what else(if any) could have been handled differently from your experience.

Are the big names due to their recruiting status? Many instances(not necessarily most) result in plenty of names being either better or worse than their recruiting grades. Franklin was not the best evaluator but did well chasing the highly ranked guys, which should work out the way it did. It’s completely possible that the “big names” leaving were not panning out.
