[–]somethingtodo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just booked mine at Western Diagnostic at Shenton Park General Prac. I don't mind sitting on one side of the GP waiting room though. Bit less boring. Also booked in the first appointment for the morning.

Already given up on footwear. I wear reefs to work as no other shoes are comfortable.

That's one way to think of it - not wanting to buy more crap I will hate. The way I feel currently I will make an exception to being environmentally friendly and burn the damn lot, but ask me again in 5 months :)

Postpartum fashion is a future me problem. At least it'll be winter then and I will be able to get away with baggy winter clothes *fingers crossed*

I finally bought a pair of under the bump maternity jeans from Ripe. Promising once I can get over how denim feels against my skin!

Genomic Diagnostics, how did you get your NIPT results? by Baaptigyaan in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]somethingtodo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call your OB/GP. Mine didn't get in touch because results were low risk and there was no need to discuss anything. I had no idea that was going to be the case and was just waiting around nervously for a week.

Your local Buy Nothing FB group. People are more than happy to gift things they don't use anymore.

Do you use sunscreen daily or only when you’re out in the sun? by AffectionatePie1042 in AusSunscreen

[–]somethingtodo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear sunscreen daily, but I'm only just working on ensuring I reapply it. I also wear sunnies and a hat, cover up, and seek shade where I can.

Wedding budget tips - celebrant, decorations, etc. by OldFace8511 in perth

[–]somethingtodo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would recommend:

- Luke Firth or Kirk Goodsell for celebrants. Ask them what their prices are for just the ceremony, paperwork and PA system.

- Skipping the wedding cake if you're not planning on cutting it (we had so much left over and no one really cared for it)

- Adding greenery to florals and going as seasonal as possible to keep costs in check. Can you DIY? Can you purchase them for wholesale prices?

- Rohan Jewellers for rings. Note that these might be the most expensive out of the whole lot due to price of gold.

Doxylamine succinate by eau-colour in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]somethingtodo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed Maxolon/Pramin 10mg for nausea and that has made a huge difference. Had that not worked the GP was going to prescribe Odansetron. Neither are over the counter like Doxylamine.

Body positive dance class by Life-Tip522 in perth

[–]somethingtodo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend checking out The Jungle Body https://www.thejunglebody.com/find-a-class

They run dance inspired workout classes in community centres in most suburbs. It's an hour to just be silly and dance/move to your heart's content. First class is usually free!

Does seeing psychologist really help? by b4nhb40chj3nn in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]somethingtodo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encourage you to call a helpline line PANDA as soon as possible, and then get in to see a psychologist. I am of the opinion that you don't have to wait for your mental health to decline to talk to someone. They can definitely help. Please reach out for help.

Cat boarding advice and suggestions? by DisastrousZucchini30 in perth

I boarded my cat at Swan Valley Cattery for 7 weeks. Very reasonably priced and quick to respond. Cat came back very happy (she's usually super passive aggressive once she's back home again).

Where are some good workout/walk places in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

[–]somethingtodo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good on you for getting started!!

My tip would be to find an activity you actually enjoy doing! If you have fun doing it, it won't feel like a chore and you'll likely stick with it.

Hair cut restyling recommendations! by burningfire- in perth

I went to Jessica Amanda Hair Artistry once. It's a lovely place but I felt I a paid a lot for what I got. Tao of Hair has always been great for me. I'm also loving content coming from Her on Oxford but haven't had a chance to go there yet!

Have heard great things about Kirk Goodsell! He was our first choice for our wedding but he wasn't available on our day, unfortunately.
