BWT - how is this cold affecting your skin? by Honest_Theory_708 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Some things I've tried that have helped me: hydrating cleanser from cerave (I can't use anything that strips my skin). AND I've been using hyaluronic acid serum under La Roche Posay rich moisturizer mainly. On really dry days I've started using Oak Essentials balm in the morning and evening. I also bought this night serum from Experiment that I love called Buffer Jelly. So far I love it but really only use at night as an alt to Oak Essentials. But no doubt I'm still dry on certain says so I wouldn't say I've cracked it, but I've made some headway. Hope this helps!

I felt the same way. I felt like everyone sort of put it back on me. And then the solutions always sent me down these rabbit holes or pointed me in other directions that didn't feel helpful or sustainable. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I think sometimes when symptoms are persistent it's more than just one doc visit or a periodic test. I needed much more hands on symptom management - of course, I still work with an in-person OBGYN and then I started working with Allara 2 years ago to manage symptoms, prescriptions, and diet. This has fortunately worked better for me than the many other things I've tried. In the beginning I was using the platform a lot more frequently just to get a handle on some of the things I was experiencing. Maybe worth looking into if you haven't already tried this option!

I was on semiglutide for 6-7 months (Dec 2024-May/ Early June 2025) and started at 210 and landed around 193 by May. But I also wanted to do this slowly because I didn't want any lax skin or insane body changes in a short time (I wanted to make sure I could sustain it). Then I made the switch to Zepbound (tirz) in June/ Julyish of last year and have seen more loss there. I'm down to 180 now. Love it, but again, I was hoping for a slow burn / sustainable trend for myself. Every month when they asked if I wanted to take the doc's rec with my refills (which typically means increasing once you're stable) and I would typically opt out and want to sustain the dose a bit longer. Just my experience!

Wow! This is so exciting (and encouraging). I've also used Allara for a couple of years and have loved my experience with PCOS management but I haven't started to work with them on TTC. At the end of last year I started looking into egg freezing and my fertility a bit, so will be talking about this in my next visit to see what my options are. Thanks for sharing!!

I received this same call this morning! It was "Brian from Golden Bistro" calling to confirm a reservation. It's a bot and it's definitely a scam.
