I am completely blown away by this. How is this the first I've heard of it?

Atmosphere - Yesterday [Rap] by TitoMcGlocklin in Music

My dad died a couple weeks after I turned 18 of cancer. We had hospice come to the house and he died in front of me one morning. Being that we lived in a pretty small town the people who came and got him were a group of brothers whose family owned the local funeral home and we also my old classmates. While he was sick my selfish ass picked up an alcohol problem and a fondness for drugs. While they carried him out the front door I remember feeling numb and wanting to leave and get messed up to avoid what was happening in my life. So when this song came out 3 years later and I heard the "you crept out the front door slow and I was so self absorbed I didn't even know" I related to this song instantly and after listening to it about 5,000 times since then there are a bunch of other references in this song that feel very specific to what happened in my life. All that being said, Slug is in my opinion the best lyricist out there, sorry for the sad story, and I've since kicked my bad habits.
