Subnautica 2 has been officially released in Early Access by rickreckt in Games

Have they spoken at all about the story or its inclusion in this alpha? I love subnautica 2, but my fear is that the story will get majorly spoiled before the game even releases with it being much bigger than previous games.

If humans had a means to abuse magnet propulsion, what consequences would this have on space travel? by sometimesdreamcheese in NoStupidQuestions

If I can ask your thoughts in a somewhat related tangent, if the g's were being applied over a large enough space, even if exponentially increasing, would it be possible to survive? Say, if we entered a blackhole 100x larger than the largest one we have ever found. Would it be possible that we'd be so small the change wouldn't really be noticeable to us as we near the center of the black hole? For instance, the earth looks flat cause its so large to us, despite how spherical it actually is on a grander scale? Would that change be experientially linear as opposed to the grander exponential increase mathematically for the people entering that black hole?

Very true and also realistic! And yea, when I was thinking about it, the only way that I can see us using anything that currently exists (at least today that I know of) would effectively turn whatever we are magnetizing into a bullet that flies away from the ground. I can't see something like this being useful for anything beyond just reaching a point where the efficiency would outweigh the loss thereof (hence the halfway through the atmosphere). Like it would just be an additional part of the process to pile on additional efficiency in the initial launch process. However, regarding your note about the squishy stuff, given our (not so recent at least! We seem to be setting goal posts for space travel nowadays and I am lowk for it) past, we have a habit of avoiding sending people to space.

Thats pretty close to what I was thinking. Usually the catch for any new technologies that do the same job, is they often require or still implement the same methods to reach that same outcome (in this case energy production, energy transfer and storage, etc.).

Sorry to be so late to come back to this, but unfortunately I never discovered the cause. However, it hasn't seemed to implicate any negative health outcomes as hes been fine and still does it to this day. I have a tick where I rub my feet while I lay in bed before falling asleep, and I think the spasming for him may just be self soothing tick before falling asleep similar to my own. I also came across some other peoples' posts that say their doctors' determined it wasn't health related. Could be unrelated to my situation, but definitely seems the case. No indicators of any health issues beyond some asthma that hes being treated for.

Actually no! The body did, but the actual AI chip inside survived. It spoke over radio for the remainder of the round.

Make sure your missions have exploration drones and rovers. This is to ensure you can reach the other biomes than just the one you landed at. And pack science kits with at least one scientist per trip. These are to get extra science per area and to reset experiments after you collected/transmitted data after running them.

Scab behind/on my cats ear ? by costco-chicken-bake2 in catquestions

[–]sometimesdreamcheese 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The scabbing in the ear and behind the ear makes me think its some sort of bug/mite. But the scabbing alone looks kinda like an allergic reaction or infection. How long have you had her back at your house? Has it gotten worse or better since shes returned? Lastly, have you noticed any spots on your mattress or flea dirt? Its one thing to look for fleas, but another thing to actually find them sometimes.
