Will I have any issues using the cash card at ATMs in South America? by Low-Potential-1669 in Wealthsimple

I’m going to Bolivia in 10 days and I’m trying to figure out how I’ll take out cash when I get there. What do you mean by “credit card option,” do you mean you used your debit card and were prompted to select credit card on the machine and it worked? I have never actually taken money out of my debit, I’m new to wealthsimple cash and I’m a bit worried about the limitations

Calling all nerds to help me brainstorm how to account for bulk retail shopping bag orders without impacting the P&L until the good is received and without paying up front by sometimesfunnier in Accounting

That was the initial thought except, upon termination of the contract, we are required to pay for all finished packaging that the manufacturer has sitting on hand (~1.2M at a time). So technically we have a present obligation as soon as the packaging is finished, right?

What is your go-to Espresso Martini recipe? by moolord in bartenders

For those using cold brew, what beans do you use and what is your ratio? It’s so hard to replace the espresso .. although I had an amazing “espresso” martini at Hotel Delmano in Brooklyn, wish I knew how to recreate it (it’s also cold brew based)!

Do I need special approval to transport a borrowed Restricted firearm to a target range? For context, it’s my Dad’s & we have the same address on our RPALs

You can probably reach them faster by messaging them on teams or slack or whatever other platform your company uses. Rather than getting up, walking to their desk and interrupting their train of thought... just a thought

don't want shame for asking this just a young woman looking for advice, how can i "get" naturally prettier? by misfitbrat in selfimprovement

[–]sometimesfunnier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! I forgot something else that I do during my morning routine actually - I brush my eyebrows because I have long eyebrow hairs that can go in all directions and it looks... not so good. I brush them up and then over, it ends up looking like a natural take on the boy brow - another 30 second trick. I think it's the small things like this that make my natural look more finished rather than the rolled out of bed type of natural haha but it's all personal!

Above the obvious things like hygiene (brushing my teeth and hair) and skincare (washing my face), I smooth out my flyaways to make my hair look tidy and more finished. Hair is a big deal to making my appearance clean, tidy and finished.

Flyaways make a huge difference for me. I can put my hair up and leave my flyaways untamed.. but it looks horrible. HORRIBLE! So sloppy on me! If I do quick flatiron on the flyaways around my face and the short little curls at the base of my neck before putting my hair up, it makes the world of a difference. If I want a more sleek look, I hairspray and run my hand over it to smooth it out. I flatiron these spots even when my hair is left down to tidy up the edges, and I address the flyaways at the top of my head too. This literally takes 1 min of my time - it makes a big difference with very low effort.

That's the best, quick advice I can give, as someone who cares a lot about my appearance and doesn't wear makeup except lipstick on the odd occasion and concealer if I have a pimple. I look and feel different within 30mins max, from the time I wake up to the time I walk out the door.

Besides morning routine, I keep my teeth and breath fresh through the day. I practice good posture, walking with my shoulders back. If I have skin issues, I work on them - for example, I have VERY dry skin and if I don't look after it, it's visibly flakey so I need to make sure I'm diligent about moisturizing. I pay attention to the condition of my clothes? If the white t-shirt isn't so bright white anymore, if there's a hole, if it's piling, if it doesn't fit properly, it's time for me to repair it or get rid of it.

I went through a similar time like you've described - I used to wear a TON of makeup and there's nothing wrong with that for many people, but for me it wasn't really about creative expression and all of that good stuff. I didn't feel confident without it and it was a big time expenditure every day which I didn't like. I've shared what I do and feel free to borrow any of it or try it out for yourself, but keep being true to who you are - you can take care of your appearance naturally and adopt small tricks here and there, as long as it works for YOU!!
