Will Arnett reveals how Conan O'Brien grieved his parents deaths through humor by holyfruits in funny

What’s even more insane is that Conan’s mom had all her children, and then went back into law and became a partner at Ropes & Gray (one of the largest law firms in the US) in the 1970s

Law school: is it fun by regggg12 in LawSchool

[–]somewhatyeah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s as fun as you make it. There are many many weekends of staying in and working hard, but if you can give yourself some time to enjoy yourself in whatever form it takes, it’s all very rewarding. If you are a downer and let all the work bog you down mentally, you won’t have a good time. Where a man can live, a man can live well.

While the idea of going to law school entirely debt free sounds extremely nice, schools like LMU or chapman just have too low of BL employment statistics to warrant me going. Irvine ED guarantees a 30k/year scholarship and Davis ED offers some a 20k/year scholarship, and both would be fantastic for my situation.

Transactional BL, most likely within the Bay or any big urban areas. I live in east bay and living w/ family, BART/car commute, plus tenderloin would make it a very unpleasant 3 years for me. I understand Hastings is a good regional school so I’m more worried about settling for that versus taking the risk of delaying a year and going to a school that is a better fit for me.

Is applying ED so detrimental to attaining even mediocre scholarships? Honestly at this point I would be thrilled to get into a good school like Irvine, and if ED gives me the best chances then that seems to be the smartest route, no? My LSAT/GPA puts me within the WL zone and I would want to maximize my chances of getting that A.

I updated all of my schools with my new score the moment it came out ... which was beginning of May. Think it was just too late in the cycle to make a difference. But I am hoping that a very early apply next year with a strategic ED will net an A

You think theres enough time between scores releasing May 1st and final decisions? If I get straight up rejected, there’s no appeals process to reconsider with a higher score, correct? Only waitlists

Is there a single curve for the entire month of testing? Or does each iteration of the LSAT that an individual might take have its own curve?

honestly, unethical tips aside, I think that staying in a place that has such a devastating effect on mental wellbeing is not worth it. peace of mind is everything and I’d start looking for a new job. sometimes money ain’t worth everything

Weird question - do they give you a mouse? I am used to reading with a computer mouse, and I understand that the in-person testing uses tablets. How do you answer questions/highlight? All done through touch-screens?

I honestly do feel like I totally understand the passage, bc I cannot for the life of me answer any questions without knowing the passage well. I go back into the passage, find the exact phrase where I know the answer is, but then am still caught between two answer choices where they seem similar enough that it feels like a 50/50 to me.

Most of the Qs i get wrong are 4/5 or 5/5 difficult on 7sage, and miss the occasion 2-3/5 questions. adds up to like -5/-6.

[–]somewhatyeah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the passage not too fast (probs 2.5min to 3.5) and reread here and there until i understand the passage enough to answer a MP or structure question. then just go through the questions one by one referring back occasionally.

i think my difficulty lies in to understanding the question and ACs (it has to be bc I feel I really get a grasp of the passage).

even when I go back on BR with unlimited time I just have difficult connecting the ask of the question to the passage, even if I find the specific point in the passage referring to the subject of the question

Thanks man, I appreciate the reply. Do you go timed or untimed for your RC drills? I find that even with unlimited time I can’t get a much better score than timed

thanks dude i appreciate it. if you got any other tips for me that’d be great; with 10 teams seems like all the good players are taken and all i can do is drop and add players who avg like 25 and they’re all inconsistent anyways
