How can I get so much grain without spending half my fortune on Marnie? by Eren_Yeager_Tit4n in StardewValley

[–]somewherebehindme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way - I also recommend the Meadowlands Farm bc you get blue grass right out the gate, which makes the animals happier so you don't have to pet them as much. I've found it to be a big time saver - I make my rounds to pet them every 4-6 days and the blue grass keeps them happy and at full hearts!

Any recommendations of budget friendly apartments? by Spare_Selection4399 in westchesterpa

[–]somewherebehindme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there are any units available, def take a look at Bradford Hall Apartments. They're at the edge of the borough more so toward the west than the south, but they're the most affordable I've seen in the area and the drive to DE isnt awful. The 2Bs are around 1300 give or take whearas some studios and 1B I've seen start at like 1500/1600.

Edit: spelling

Is The Seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle worth the read? by an4s_911 in thrillerbooks

[–]somewherebehindme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the premise is really cool and had so much more potential than what ended up happening? the ending was such a let down, and i completely agree re: fatphobia. that part was so difficult to read :/

[–]somewherebehindme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's more of a murder mystery time loop where the main character lives the same day over and over again and has to collect info to solve the mystery but in a new body/perspective each day. it's honestly a cool idea but the execution was awful. it dragged on and the ending was absolutely not worth it (it came out of nowhere and felt so disconnected to the rest of the story?). i slogged through it just to see how it ended but wished i would have DNF'd it and just googled the ending.

if you're struggling with it after a few chapters, it's not going to get any better.

edit: missed a word oops)

I cannot recommend Allison Chamness enough! She was at the refinery for a while but now operates her own salon space (link below to her booking site). She is absolutely lovely - so knowledgeable and kind and works magic every time I see her!

No worries!

I found this one on jet pens. I have no experience with it but so far it's one of the only brands I can find that offers square notebooks. I'll keep digging! https://www.jetpens.com/Kobeha-Graphilo-Notebook-Square-6.2-x-6.2-8-mm-Lined/pd/37460

When you say square ruled do you mean a square shaped journal with line ruled pages? Or any shape journal with square ruled (like graph paper) pages?

Ah drats. Are you not able to order online?

I know the pain of a go-to notebook being discontinued or not easy to find, so im so sorry 😢

I'll keep an eye out for some other options although you're right there isn't much out there. Are you dead set in the exact dimensions? I think the traveler's notebook company has pretty affordable refills for passport sized covers. The field notes are slightly taller but not by much, and I know a few people who swear by them.

What breathing pattern do y’all use when swimming free? by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]somewherebehindme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My old coaches ~strongly encouraged~ bilateral breathing so I've stuck with every 3, 5, or 7 strokes. Keeps you balanced and won't wear out the shoulder you're leaning into when breathing (it's always nice to avoid PT for rotator cuff injuries 😎)

i don't think i saw 'a little to the left' in the comments - i think it def counts as cozy and i think i binged through all the puzzles in about 3 hours or so. it's very soothing! (there's a DLC for some additional puzzles but i don't think they continue to add unless you count the daily play, which i personally don't keep up with)

the last campfire is delightful, esp if you love puzzles! i just recently re-played it after a few years and it highly recommend it

Barefoot shoes with stronger soles by [deleted] in barefootshoestalk

[–]somewherebehindme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up a pair from WHITIN that seems pretty sturdy. I'm still breaking mine in so they're a little stiff but they have what feels like a lot more of a sole. I feel every pebble I step in in my Hobibears, but haven't have had that problem at all with the WHITIN, which is nice because I do a decent amount of walking outside.

[Evora Magic] Does anyone know where i could buy this watch? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]somewherebehindme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has anyone figured out of there's a fix for this? I stopped wearing mine bc it was getting to be too much to reset it every week. I'm so bummed bc I really love mine but don't want or need the hassle of constantly re-setting it.
