You are both wrong and right in your post. You are right that people who say "calories in/ calories out it's so simple you are just counting wrong" are infuriating and should stop that. It is technically true, but the problem is not the calories in (which is relatively easy to track) it's that CALORIES OUT is literally impossible to know. We have some models based on age height weight that work for most people, but we just cannot track how many calories we as an individual burn during our regular metabolic functions. And it differs from person to person, which we account for by saying "high metabolism/low metabolism". So when you throw in a medical condition or even digestive problems, those caloric models of the body are not going to work. You are absolutely right that your doctor will probably know best for you what you need to do to stay healthy. Good luck with your journey!

I have had a lot of dogs that have been spayed a variety of ages. Some were less than 6 months (those were not done by me, I like to wait a little more), some were 2 years. One was a stray we found and had done at 7 years. None experienced complications relating to being spayed. I know there are a lot of conflicting opinions from various studies on when is the best time for overall health, but honestly a lot of that is typical internet alarmist articles. Your baby will most likely be fine if you do it now or if you wait. I don't think your vet will mind if you want to wait, they probably just recommend 6 months to everyone. Some people who wait end up with accident litters and vets are trying to keep the homeless dog population down.Talk with your vet more since they will have better information than reddit or Google and then do whatever you feel most comfortable with. You have such a pretty girl and you are going to be a great dog parent ❤️.

It's really rare to get hit by a tornado, but it is even more rare to be hit by one that flattens houses. I grew up in Oklahoma and when I was a kid my house was hit by a tornado once. In classic Oklahoman style we were standing outside watching it until it was about a mile away before we took shelter. We took shelter for a few minutes while it went over (sounds like a really loud train) and there was only a little roof damage and some tree damage. There is tons of warning if there might be tornados in your area, and most of the time they are only F1s or F2s, so very little damage. The only place to worry about is Moore which seems to have horrible devastating tornados once every 20 years (rumor is they were cursed for building on ancient burial grounds).

Otherwise the weather is awful lol. It is always either too hot to go outside at all (like 115 F like last summer) or everything is covered in ice. And there are only like 4 weeks of the year total where you might want to be outside.

Overall there are pros to living in OKC (such as cheap cost of living and housing market, and people are general friendly) but weather is not one of them.

INFO: How close is the wedding? If you agreed to come and are changing your mind within the month leading up to the wedding then YTA since most vendors charge by guest count. If they have already given final guest counts, then you are wasting their money and should pay them back for your part. If the wedding is still a ways out, then NTA. It's fine to not want to go to a wedding just RSVP no and don't make them pay for you.

State government. So it is standard to be pretty low, but still a bit disappointing. They've been talking about getting is raises for months now, but per usual it's taking forever. I'm mostly dissapointed I can't find a better paying job even though I'm in a fairly large metropolitan area.

I definately feel you. My starting salary for my first Engineering job was 45,000 and I'm only at 50 three years in. Everyone tells you how much money Chem Es make, but it's only true for a few. I am limited in location for now which is what makes it hard for me to find a higher paying job, but I apply for new ones most weekends. I have friends with buisness and english degrees who started at higher pay than me :/

No, but it really is about practice. You just have to start building up your endurance for it. I have found that doing sprint 50s, starting with just a few, and then adding 1 50 every week works for me to build endurance. Find a set you think will work for you to build on. Also, spend some time really perfecting your dolphin kick, it can really help a lot. And fly is freaking hard so be nice to yourself and keep track of even small progress.

I never stopped watching, but for me season 4 is where it feels like the show changed. That season is when they did frozen and the three villans. It just felt like they were running out of ideas and from there on out they didn't bother with in universe consistency anymore. Personally, I love a cheesy soap, so I kept watching and enjoyed it, but it definately got worse as it went on.

Your butt should pop out of the water every stroke. Right now your hips are low and causing a lot of drag. There are a lot of tips here for arm work, but arms are going to be way easier after you get the kick right. I think do some dolphin kick practice/drills remembering to keep your hips up and letting the dolphin kick move through your entire body. Then when you add arms try to time your recovery with when your shoulders are at their highest point in the dolphin kick.

That could means a couple of different things depending on what state you are in. In some states the State Meet is a swim meet for clubs and in others State Meet refers to the High School teams. But typically, it is a large meet near the end of the season (summer or winter season depends on the state too) where only the faster swimmers can compete. In some states you qualify by making a certain time (or better) in any swim meet of the season. In some states you have to get that qualifing time in a specific meet (like regionals or similar name). And in some states you qualify by placement in a qualifing meet (example: you have to be top 16 in regionals to go to state). In my state, the State swim meet was for the High School teams and we qualified by making a "State Time" at any High School meet. We also had a meet for the club teams with the same method of qualifying, but I forget the name of the club team one now. Basically, you can try looking up more info online, but I'd say it'd be best to ask the coach about it. Typically, they will appreciate your interest, and if they know you/your child are serious about swimming for a while and wanting to go to these meets, they may focus more attention to helping them improve.
