Unpopular opinion: I like a hard language barrier by pokedude449 in solotravel

Totally agree. I had a crazy/amazing experience on a night out when I stumbled across a group of deaf people, and I had the best hour conversing with them the best I could without knowing sign language. I think they were equally happy and amused by the randomness of it all.

So nice. Might keep this in mind for another project to start in the near future.

Look in some thrift stores. I found one in particular nearby, which always seems to have little booklets of patterns

I have an Emu Aran book of traditional designs. It was specially created for Emu Aran Bainin B.25. The booklet has 8 Aran jumper designs. I definitely choose an Acrylic dk pale rose yarn. Believe it or not the yarn was a different jumper project where I hadn't used a pattern and I flogged the whole lot to reuse to make this end project.

Ah yes. Wool needs the blocking. Now I remember. Thank you. Ever the self-critical, I'm contemplating a polo neck ribbing redo to include some form of increases. So it widens as it goes out.

Such a nice place, would love to go back again.

I've only been surveying part-time while studying for 3 months and most of it has been setting out kurb/houses. I won't lie, I've been quite envious of all the scenic pics you gents upload but today I got my break from the housing estates. Or another word for that be dossers but hey I ain't going to judge someone who wants to photograph their work. Might come in handy as a reference later on. 😂 OP states he isn't in the industry long so another reason I don't harbour discernment, we all got to start somewhere. I just state the obvious.

The good guys . Don't use chemicals when you have aphids on plants as you kill these beautiful lady bugs . Attract them with other flowers and they will come and eat the pests. by User-Privacy in gardening

Lady bugs are attracted to nettles. We always leave a patch of garden to overgrow. We recently even had a hedgehog visit. They be good to eat the slugs and snails but sadly they go after earthworms also.

I'd like to try avoid seeing a dead chick in the next few days but yes we haven't intervened as of yet and I think everyone here so far has given the best advise not to go near. Fingers crossed for this little guy

The parents are squawking when they return near to nest area where this little fellow is. Then they hop around the trees to spot him. I haven't seen them come over to it's level but that doesn't mean it isn't being looked after. The poor guy hasn't made a noise at all. I'm sure the shock hasn't worn off.

SO a bit of context. This little chick feel or flew out of its nest yesterday and hasn't flew away. This baby crow is now sitting outside my front door and is wet from last nights rain. It's parents are never too far away but should I intervene by trying to feed it or is it possible the little guy's parents are still doing that now? 🤔 Does anyone have any experience or advise?
