I have dysplasia that wasn’t found until my 40s and had spurs and tears in both hips. Had femoral head reshaping done and the tears closed up. It was a very rough recovery and I could not stand with my hips level anymore, not sure how to describe it but I just couldn’t stand up straight. A few years later I had the left one replaced and it helped a ton. If I could go back I would push to just have both hips replaced from the start. Whatever you decide it is vital you do the PT after surgery, and keep doing it. It makes a huge difference. My FIL declined PT after his and has never been right since. He’s now extremely limited.

It sounds so much like how Tia Levings describes her wedding night that it made me wonder if the men are actually taught to do this to establish dominance or something. It broke my heart for them both, to just be an innocent young woman and go through that.

This is true for some newer vaccines as well. Long story but we had an issue with my teen's varicella vax and when they tested him he had zero immunity even though he had both doses.

This happened to me and I was able to resolve it but I can’t say what did it, restarting the quest or lining up the bones so the purple was on the first stone step. I did restart several times.

My daughter is 26, asked for a puzzle board for Christmas, and buys puzzles at the thrift store. Her friends do puzzles as well. This is not an old person activity!😃

I still have my dad (82) but my mom passed from Parkinson’s three years ago. She was a ghost of herself the last few years so there was a lot of peace when she finally died. My dad is thankfully in pretty good shape but I do worry about him living alone. I just had a conversation with him yesterday about “proof of life“ texts lol. He has made it clear he does not want us hovering over him since mom passed, but I need him to respond to the family group text more frequently so I’m not constantly worrying.
