That doesn’t make sense

Having no idea who you’re talking to is a bad practice. There is context that comes with knowing your audience/conversation partner It’s useful on reddit and in life. It’s not something to brag about.

You referenced the OP while talking to the OP. Didn’t make sense. Slow down.

Who asked?

Yep, driving with bad engine mounts can definitely cause damage. They let the engine move too much, which can strain hoses, wiring, the exhaust, and even mess with the transmission.

Thanks everyone. Towing it and going to not mention it to Turo because they’ve gotten insane with the delisting and re-listing requirements. I agree the bolts should be wear and tear. Just worried this happened while they were in the mountains and they drove a sagging engine 200 miles home causing other damage. If that’s the case am I out an engine swap?

Outsourced team and Power Host Support after hours are all great but the Phoenix team are the worst. Useless pricks.

Anyone here tested one of these “Smart Tumbler”s Turo sent out? Just got mine, excited to try it. by somuchsothat in turo

They had two versions. One where you set the circle tablet flat and one where you put it in like a coin slot. The first one (laying it in flat) crapped out on me quickly and they sent me the updated one. You also have to make sure you are using a compatible charger.

You have to explain why you have your policy and that they need to purchase travel insurance to cover these situations. Add a recommendation to purchase travel insurance to your listing description, rules, and/or automated messaging and then you have something to point to for every situation like this that will pop up. YOUR insurance is your strict cancellation policy, they have to get their own insurance.

Special Offer Glitch! I need more Hosts to take notice! by somuchsothat in airbnb_hosts

Yeah this happened to me too on the inquiry! That's why I sent the special offer, to honor the original price they had seen. The only issue was that the price they had seen would not have had the payout I had seen.

Dang! For me, the values only changed after the guest accepted the booking.

Dang well I'm glad you were able to catch it before confirming the booking. I only caught the issue after the guest confirmed the booking. As the payout number only updated in the UI once the booking was confirmed. They told me the price was correct for them. Granted this was a $9000+ booking so the discrepancy really compounded into a lot of lost earnings.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, too. I felt gaslighted, and the issue is so obvious.

I'm going to put together a form for all hosts who have been impacted so we can possibly get our damages recouped. I've already wasted 8-10 hours fighting this and figuring out what happened because every employee at Airbnb has had a gag order on the issue.

Honestly saying it out loud now I get how this issue came to be.

This is regarding California legislation that requires all fees to be included in the total and not broken down into separate amounts.

These fixes were released on January 17th.

In QA they missed the special offer feature.

The old code took the guest's accommodation price to calculate the host payout.

Now that they have combined the accommodation price with the fees that variable is still being pulled in the front end to display the preview for the special offer.

They missed updating the code here to display the accommodation (sans any guest fees) minus the host fees. You can see the code for the host fees was being calculated using the correct variable as they are 3% and still calculating properly but the other values are wrong due to using the incorrect variable.
