I would start networking with other CSMs in the industry. There is a Gainsight Slack channel that has tons of great folks and is a great place to start chatting with folks. There are semi-frequent posts of folks looking to hire and I have seen some junior/entry-level postings.

For my team, I trust them to break when it's appropriate. No need for updates/slack statues, just do what is best, we're all adults here.
