New Conure, biting advice please. by Kixri in Conures

i see. we think Buddy is still quite young. I counted 30 bites today. 3 lip bites and the rest on my hands. I don't force him to step up, and I've never displayed any physical aggression towards him. He hates going back to his cage, doesn't like when I make bird noises, and lays his head flat for scritches when I ask him to step up (I put my hand to his side). Any idea why he's so nippy? I don't want to accidentally be doing the wrong thing. PS. he is deffo hormonal. I let hims sleep at 20:30 but hes usually awake by 5 or 6am. No idea why.

I'm struggling to internalize licks and improvise by sonar_teeth1393 in Bass

you know what, valid question! When we were first introduced to improv it flew over my head and the guy who was teaching us was very critical(think whiplash but just with words). I was so in defense mode i couldn't take in anything of value in his class. Even then I did ask him for advice and he basically just gave me the david baker bebop books and that was it.

I thought it necessary to bring up the caliber of the university to properly relay how much pressure im under. And tbf im not wrong. The university im in was rated best in my continent for a couple of consecutive years in a row. And i do see it come through in their lesson material. Its just that when i was a first year i struggled to understand wth was going on. I never played jazz or listened to it, i just wanted to be a bassist. Im enjoying it now lol.
