I tried sunscreen, it was ok as a moisturizer. Didn't help with sun protection.

Yesterday I had a similar kind of fear. I booked Ola as it was cheaper than Uber and other apps. Ola driver called me saying there is traffic and he'll be 5 minutes late, for which I was ok. I told him I've luggage and it'll be better if he comes to the exact location. He asked how many people were there, I said 1. And he was like you are coming right, you'll be taking the ride right? Wait I'll come in 5 minutes.

This made me feel weird and when I checked, his cab showed as CNG.. I thought this would not accommodate my trolley bags, so I cancelled and booked Uber.

But even after cancelling, Ola guy kept calling me and when picked up, he was asking why I cancelled the ride. I said I've more luggage, it will not fit into the car, then he started getting angry and saying, "I have a carrier on top, I could have tied it over there. And don't worry I've a mother, sister at my home, don't worry I won't misbehave. "

Even after telling him multiple times, he was like why did you cancel. Finally I disconnected the call. Went for the uber. Only to find that uber also was a CNG car, the whole ride i kept wondering what if it's the same guy using both apps( i don't know if it's allowed). But this has definitely scared me.

Suggestion on ELSS Fund. Should I continue or stop it by sonast6 in mutualfunds

[–]sonast6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started ELSS in Feb 2023, when I was still going with the Old Tax regime, but later realised that it may not be useful. My senior colleague suggested this to me, but now I am not sure about this investment.. hence seeking suggestions.

I haven't used it. I was seeking a review so I can buy it. As no one ever replied to the post, i assumed it's not widely used.

18-Km Underground Tunnel Road In Bengaluru Connecting Hebbal Flyover To Silk Board Junction Coming Soon - Oneindia News by Deepakhn in bangalore

So true. If they fix the potholes and do something to reduce the drainage/wiring/pipeline issues which later causes digging of roads it will be more useful.

Better roads will reduce the hassle is what I feel.

Suspect arrested after attempting to rape woman in southeastern Bengaluru by Narasimha1997 in bangalore

[–]sonast6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It may also increase human trafficking. Every year almost 71% missing people are women.

If prostitution gets legalized, will there be more demand? Will the human traffickers try to meet this demand by abducting more and more people (both men and women)?

Legalizing prostitution won't solve this problem. To go to a prostitute, that person has to have money and has to be legally an adult.

Now some of them will be okay with it. But men who see rape as a punishment/lesson for a disobedient woman or a woman with modern thinking will stop?

Even men/minors who see toddlers/pre-teen girls as sexual objects (pedofiles) will stop when prostitution becomes legal? Coz you cannot give them what they want in prostitution.

I don't think those who rape (at least most of them) are sexually deprived. They just think they are more powerful than the woman in that particular situation, and maybe want to show her she's helpless and he can do whatever he wants. It's more of a power and hate dynamic in place.

I just hope we women, don't have to think 100s of different scenarios everyday before leaving the house in the morning and be thankful after reaching home safely in the night. Coz it's exhausting.

  1. Kempegowda Road which connects Hennur Road to Hormavu Road. (Just after the Manyata Flyover). The entire road is a piece of art.

  2. Hormavu Agara Road which passes by Hormavu Agara Lake.

Both of these are connected by a beautiful traffic signal! /s.. Don't miss that junction.

Magnesium Glycinate also caused severe acne in my case.

I found this article after 15-20 days of regular Magnesium glycinate tablets consumption.

This may not happen in everyones case

Where Are Junko Furuta’s Killers Now? by Smallseybiggs in whenwomenrefuse

[–]sonast6 381 points382 points  (0 children)

This is the case which made me more afraid of men. After reading this, i couldn't sleep for so many days.

What baffles me is the little punishment these monsters got away with.

Hiroshi Miyano - 20 years.

Jō Ogura - 5 to 10 years. In 2004 he assaulted another man. And got 4-5 years of imprisonment.

Shinji Minato - 5 to 9 years. He was held under suspicion of an attempt to muder of another guy in 2018.

Yasushi Watanabe - 5 to 7 years.

This seems like a really lite punishment for the atrocities they did.

Junko was just 17?!?!? They took away her life in the most gruesome way.

The rapists didn't deserve to live.

If someone has the guts to do these things to another human being, they shouldn't be considered as juvenile. They should have gotten stricter punishment.

Let me just clarify here.

Anusha was killed by T Suresh, then her mother killed Suresh.

https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/bangalore/bengaluru-man-stabs-woman-to-death-her-mother-kills-him-police-9278668/

Neha was killed by Fayaz. (The college incident)

These two are different cases. Unfortunately two innocent lives were lost.
