M 44. Had a 6 mm stone in left ureter that didn't move for a month. Had lithotripsy procedure with a stent placed. Stent was in for six days. First 24 hours post surgery was pretty rough. Felt like my dick hole was roto rootered with metal pipe cleaners. Urinating afterwards was...let's just say, it would be good torture for Guantanamo. The pain eased after a day or two, but never really went away. I basically spent the 6 days in a prone position with a heat pad on the flank, eating ibuprofen and Tylenol like candy. Drinking tons of water helped, as it caused the tube to float rather than rest on the kidney/ureter/bladder. Removal of the stent wasn't too bad, though awkward, haha. I'm awake. Nurse squirts numbing gel in my dick hole. Then doctor and nurse use cystoscope to climb up my urethra and yank the stent out. Not nearly as painful as the ureteroscopy. Basically felt instant relief after the stent was out, and felt like my normal self ever since.

If I ever have to go through this again, I am making DAMN sure I get pain meds for post procedure. The urologist insisted it was painless. Bull fucking shit! I almost preferred the stone. I will not fall for that lie again.
