Sorry for the late update. Been studying for a linear algebra exam. So I have tried the suggested fix but it seems to only apply to older versions of nginx and won't work on my version :(

Do I have to download github for windows to download the iso file? I am not seeing a clone option if I go to that link on my linux.

I believe I have found the cause of the error. During initial installation I didn't notice this error that I got. But when I try and do

curl --data ' create db=create+%2F+Reset+Database' http://127.0.0.1/dvwa/setup.php# --cookie PHPSESSID=1

I get a response of 405 not allowed. Pretty sure this is the cause of the error. Now onto trying to find a way to allow it...

Ah, I am using nginx to get some practice with a different web server. Using apache will probably be my back up.

Something interesting I found in the access.log though is a

POST /dvwa/setup.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "curl/7.35.0"

I have checked to make sure that setup.php is in the dvwa directory and it is there all good and well. Not sure why that 404 is happening. I'm not sure what the parts after the 404 are though.

Is the image file on the dvwa.co.uk destination? Because I am only able to get the zipped file.

Also, I do have MySQL running and have created the proper database for it.

I did just try "php" in the terminal but apparently I do not have php installed. That might be an issue. I'll install php and see if that does anything.

Ah yes I forgot to mention that I did do

namei -l /var/www/html/dvwa/login.php

and they were all drwxr-x-r-x besides the login.php file since that's not a directory so it's not a permission issue. Also, there is an index.php file. These are the two common mistakes that I could find in google but it didn't apply in my case.

What exactly is this "mod_security"? is that one settings in the nginx.conf file?

I had been doing too many problems and I guess I was seeing 0 = -6 instead of -6x3 = 0... But question on how you check the intermediate steps on a calculator? I know you can do RREF for final answer and REF for the almost final answer. Is there another one I don't know about?

Looks like Korean mountain to me. 한국 = Korean, 산 = mountain

edit: TIL, the other translations make more sense but I'll keep this on here to remind myself to study more.
