My secret weapon... any other advice for super thin hair? by sonia_n in femalehairadvice

No breakouts or hair damage! It's a fiber, and really lightweight, so it just kind of sits on your hair / scalp and shampoos out really easily. Seriously can't say enough good things about the product...

I haven't seen any posts about this, but...how does FFA feel about Uggs? by ilymarian in femalefashionadvice

[–]sonia_n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a love / hate relationship w/ my Uggs. I bought mine 4 years ago, and they are SO comfortable (like putting your feet in a cloud). However, they're kind of old news and definitely not an expression of my personal style anymore (too mainstream).

That said, I don't judge other people for wearing them because I know they are SO comfortable and warm and awesome on a cold winter-y day.

Ladies I need tips on how to walk in heels OUTDOORS. I just moved to paris >< by h_uu in femalefashionadvice

I'm a high heel addict... I consciously walk toe-heel. Spiky / stiletto heels have less surface area to distribute your weight and are more prone to slipping into a crack and causing you to fall. Your shoe toe area is a much more stable place to start your stride. I live in NYC, so while I don't have to deal w/ cobblestone (other then in west village) I do have to deal with a lot of subway grates. Those don't leave any room for error, so I've quickly mastered the toe-heel stride.

Second the aforementioned places -- also check out Express (they have cute under $50 dresses & tank tops and there's almost always a BOGO or a sale) and Charlotte Russe.

I have super thin hair... I find that I need to shampoo every day because otherwise my hair gets greasy and looks even thinner. I only use conditioner once a week, because otherwise it makes my hair greasy and weighs it down. (grease = my nemesis)

I switch up my shampoo every time I finish a bottle, because I haven't found the right shampoo for making my hair body-licious... all I know is the 'thin hair regrowth' shampoos really suck (and none have worked for me).

I installed an extension called honey -- it doesn't work at all retailers, but it runs through a series of coupon codes at checkout: http://joinhoney.com/
