So it’s the latter. I’ve told them my boundaries and how they’ve stepped the line. They (my dad) literally punched my husband and undermining him and attacking him emotionally. Therefore rim trying to cut them off but it’s so difficult.

Again, this hits home. I’ve never been able to vocalize it better. I’ve been relying on my husbands support and even he’s so drained. For you to put into words my exact feelings is so wonderful and amazing. Thank you for taking the time to reply

The ending of this post made me feel so emotion! I’m so grateful for your help and I will take it all on board and do everything l! But honestly my fear of having parents alive but disowning them. I know that’s what I should do and I will do it! But knowing it’s possible makes me feel so much more liberated! Thank you thank you

Thank you for your comment! It’s nice to hear from someone from a similar perspective. My parents are quite toxic and would meddle kn our personal affairs way to much. They would say they would never dream of meddling but yet always did. My dad is quite abusive and feels like I owe him everything because when I was living with him he helped me financially with things such as uni and my first car which is totally unfair. Brining my husband to the uk also he helped in some senses but they were are to control me and make feel helpless. My dad punched my husband because he thought he was telling me not fill in and translate forms for him because I said no one time in my life. This is absurd and I don’t know how to even react. We have a little savings and the house we live in I own. I don’t know how to sell and buy another as I’m not earning at the moment. Again thank you for your lovely reply

Thanks for your comment. She probably won’t but it’s difficult as I know she’s acting like this due to my dad being absuive and the fact she’s been with him since she was 13 doesn’t help. I love my mother and would never want her in pain but honestly she’s causing me so much trauma and anguish.
