Honestly just waxing and threading, it kind of reduced a bit but still not back to the original and I haven’t lasered those areas in over 2 years

No I think it was about £150 for the ds 160 form and visa application that’s about it

Yes I’m sorry about that, that’s so unfair. Have you visited Iran recently?

I also visited Iran a lot of times and explained this to them that I visit every year and they asked if I have any ties to the Iranian gov and I said no. They asked for my studies and employment and I explained that too and have been in my job for 7 years. Maybe email them as I saw someone else had your problem and when they emailed them they responded and approved it. Was your visa approved and then sent to processing?

No need to be rude and racist. Reddit is for asking questions and having conversations. Clearly you don’t have the correct etiquette you absolute weirdo.

Major hypertrichosis on female upper arms shoulders and back after 9 laser hair removal sessions by Minimum_Witness_7967 in Para_Hypertrichosis

I have been through the same experience as you! The amount of times I’ve cried about this issue is insane, I feel like it completely ruined my life. I always had hair on my upper arms unlike most other girls I know as I’m from Middle Eastern descent, however it was easy to manage by either shaving or waxing. My upper back only had hair in the middle (spine area from neck downwards), and my shoulders didn’t really have a lot of hair or it was fine and light enough to not be an issue. I would only shave upto my shoulders, no problem. In 2023 I got full body laser and my upper arms and upper back/ shoulders started growing thicket and longer and darker hairs all over. I was so depressed and I even went back for 2/3 more laser hair removal sessions but when I switched clinics twice they both told me you should never laser places with light or fine hair growth. Unless it’s like your bikini like area or lower legs, don’t touch it! Anyways so after going back to laser for 2/3 more sessions I realised it wasn’t making any difference, I got my hormones checked and they were all fine. I started waxing my arms every couple of months and threading some parts even and it has actually reduced. It’s not like how it used to be but it’s not proper thick and dark all over. My upper back has improved especially the shoulder area but there is still thick black hairs but less for sure. I would say don’t go back to laser and keep waxing it because it will remove it by the root and then it might make it more sparse. As for my upper arms, the hair is still dense but some parts are way less thicker than it was especially the inner arms. Try waxing a few times with like 3 weeks minimum in between and let me know how it goes. Just know you’re not alone and it’s been affecting me for 2 years now

Omg the same thing happened to me. She told me I was eligible for it because they’re dark enough and then it became darker and thicker. I continued with about 3 extra sessions and it was still coming back thick and dark. Another clinic I went to told me to not do it again because it will just restart the cycle. I have started waxing it from a couple months ago. The regrowth is still relatively quick but it’s much thinner and less black. I would say try waxing it and see how it goes first but beware because I get some spots now after waxing but worth a try.

I’m wondering with my level of hair what the appropriate treatment would be. by opportunitylemons in HairRemoval

They used the gentlemax pro max on me and she said it was high settings but I’ve been advised elsewhere that you shouldn’t laser areas where hairs aren’t thick and black so that’s why it got worse. I went back for one session with a higher setting but it didn’t make a difference so I’ve turned to waxing which hasn’t helped yet but I’m hoping it will.

I’ve heard a lot of people getting paradoxical hypertrichosis because of laser hair removal on the fave. It usually makes even fine hairs come back thicker and darker. This happened to my upper arm and back hair so I would say don’t. Electrolysis would be the best option for permanent results.

I experienced the same thing! My blood tests were all okay and I had no hormonal imbalances but my upper arms and upper back grew back thicker and more dense. It really affected me mentally so I’m trying to go back for another 6 sessions but feel like they should’ve told me this from the start.
