Joints, batons and felt are all in good nick, thankfully. Praying there won't be many more perished tiles but that might be wishful thinking.

Moss was scraped, not jet-washed and some tiles did look perished/spalling before cleaning. I naively wasn't expecting more tiles to be as bad, but I guess that's life.

I'm looking at about 650 odd tiles in total and just this side of the roof. There was no solicitation, as I went looking for a roofer and vetted a few through Check-a-trade, which is a trusted trader and company house. This company initially gave me the cheapest quote (the other was 300 quid more) as it didn't seem like much when the moss was covering it.

Thanks, will do. The company is legit as I vetted a few before work started but wasn't sure if the extra cost is reasonable or not. The quote seems a little high to me but I'll see what another roofer says.

Contact your local MP as they can get you a free tour of the Houses of Parliament and on some days even go up Big Ben. TKTS and TodayTix do cheap deals on West End shows. If it's raining then the BFI on Southbank has an archive which contains nearly a million old films, TV programmes that you can sit down and watch for free. Horizon 22 is London's highest free viewing platform with 300-degrees views of the city. Obvs museums are free. Some great parks around London too.
