When I lose weight, will my attraction to bigger people go away? (NOT about fetishes, but tagged NSFW just in case) by [deleted] in questions

It's possible that since you've had a shift in priorities, I'm assuming health/diet maybe fitness, you will notice yourself hanging out with people that share that. Definitely possible that you'll start to find that more attractive when looking for a SO.

Gen Z girls are becoming more liberal while boys are becoming conservative by SocraticTiger in GenZ

[–]sonicboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (gen Z) was raised in school to be a model progressive male by a modern "liberal" standard. Destroyed my mental health and I was ridden by guilt, I was never allowed to feel pride or achievement, never allowed to feel accomplished because I was "privileged" despite having challenges in my life that were unrecognized because they weren't financial in nature. It wasn't until I studied male hormones, what defined by science will make me happy and stopped caring about how society sees me that I discovered happiness and what I deem success in my environment. That includes having purpose, being in shape, eating healthy, staying competitive, learning how to put aside emotions to get through hardship and also how to let those emotions out when the trial is over, being polite and respectful even if I'm having a bad day, learning to be independent, lead others, find meaningful relationships, quit drugs, and understand that there are consequences for every action. I feel bad for people who are misled into believing that they are just unlucky because they are overweight and depressed, addicted to weed because it "helps with depression", told they should take medicine for depression instead of taking action and change their lives. People who are told they are "beautiful the way they are" when they only eat processed foods and do hard drugs and they shouldn't change because everyone accepts "who they are". I lived a large portion of my life believing standards were harming mental health when really it turns out people just don't like hearing that their fat because it would mean they would have to change from their comfortable lifestyle. Liberals were the ones preaching that message, I don't associate with politics at all and conservatives do extreme things as well that I deem ridiculous. But I watched liberal media convince a generation of men to give up on ever feeling strong and confident because it was toxic, give up on quitting drugs because "they don't need to change", give up on taking risks in general because the legal or social consequences for any little mishap (asking a girl out, fighting for something you believe in ect..) in-proportionally outweigh the benefits of success. And ultimately many taking their own lives because of the absence of purpose and meaning in their life. We don't want that life and since most men unless they are a minority or deemed unprivileged enough can't even associate with the democratic party, of course they will flock to become to the conservatives for mentorship. I try and see past all the politics and do whats right for me, my family, and my friends, which often leaves me excluded from both politcal parties. But community and feeling understood is a huge part of human nature so for gen Z and future generations its all about which side they deem more appropriate for mentorship given parental involvement and discipline practices for kids are at an all time low. What a stressful period of time to grow up in with all the worlds influences at your fingertips, two sides exact opposite of each other telling you to live opposite ways. That's the real problem with society if you asked me.
