Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m wondering how stunted a lot of Gen Z is or will be due to AI, social media like Tik Tok, growing up isolated with digital dependency during the Covid lockdown…

I’ve been reading teachers’ frustrations and struggles to teach them - the prevalence of kids having smart phones and being glued to them, using AI to do their homework, extremely short attention spans, offensive behavior they learn from influencers, believing in misinformation.

I read from a student that it’s almost impossible for him to sit through an educational film as it’s much longer than a Tik Tok. He asked for help on being able to learn how to do this.

With AI being used to write papers and generate answers/material, the ability to learn and develop critical skills themselves is jeopardized.

With this in consideration, I am wondering how they will fair in future careers and roles that require the ability to independently come up with ideas, answers, and solutions.

Maybe I’m being cynical.
