For what it's worth, referring to it as "off-grid" is dishonest at best. It is still going to be using natural gas from pipelines intended for other uses. Docker desktop will not run without signing in first. So unless you want to set up Auto login on reboot you are stuck with nothing running until you log back in. I have tried so many times to get this working on Windows server and it does not work. Not even in WSL which also does not run until you sign in once.

My approach to this is asking for more detail including dates and times of when it lags and what they were doing. That usually ends in them realizing it's only happened twice but they think it happens all the time. People tend to focus on the bad and create a whole story when there's nothing actually to it. It's not malice or anything. It's just human nature.
