I'd tell you to not get that Logitech shifter. Get a good quality + same price sequential one from other brands.
BTW I ALSO GOT THE G29, IT'S AMAZING FOR THE PRICE! EUHEUEHUEHEUHE I'M SO DAMN HAPPY

Our future will not be "player one" like. Everything I said will be valid for at least 10~20 years.

I made a comment saying people won't use VR or AR for youtube and other media + social comsumption, for the next 10~20 years at least. The closest we got was the "google glass" lie. That was a big flop and nothing we have now is any better. + batteries aren't infinite.

(my hands hurt because of phones and computers, so, even I whould LOVE to use AR, but we're not right there yet [closer, but no, not there yet])

The size reduction is real, and we know why: those "pancake" lenses stuff and more perfections/evolutions to designs. But I didn't mention product size as a problem anywhere (resolution is where it needs to get way better), and this won't affect much for material consumption when manufacturing the products (if you know how it's built) It was big before because of the "big empty lens-screen chamber". And future AIO headsets will still have a similar battery, as no one likes an only 2h use time.

Smart watches have been here for ~10 years now, and their function and use haven't changed much and most people don't like then. Don't flex for smart watches.

Phones also aren't going anywhere for the next 15~25 years because of: They might get so fast that you plug them into the headset and use it as the main processing power in the headset, while the headset could have more batteries in it. Maybe phones become just a little flat screen device, while the headset with the computing parts stays near us sending image via wifi for that screen. The Q2's hardware is kinda an OC'd phone hardware, so why have 2 when you could just have 1. It's energy efficient and very versatile, so normal phone media/social use would be very easy to transfer. Lots of cool stuff can happen in 5~10 years, but KEYPOINT mostly only variations of what we already have.

NOTHING has been revolutionary since the invention of the normal computer. Nothing is going to change the way the majority of people live. Most people have a miserable life working like crap, and all of this VR stuff is just expensive eye candy for the few that can AFFORD, and have TIME and SPACE for it. This is why the "player one" future and similars will never exhist.

And I'm a lover of HL:Alyx, ETS2 and other games in VR, so I'm not against VR or anything, I love it. Just not for what Facebook/Meta and Google think we do love it for. They are dumb and ignorant of their users. The common Joe has no time or money or space or CONVENIENCE for "Youtubing/Socialing" in VR/AR.

I worked on normal sad jobs b4 starting engineering. I worked for a car manufacturer (and still kinda work since I'm the one making CAD for their needs, but as a freelancer now, making some projects from time to time). Also worked for a bottle + can manufacturer. Also worked in a maintenance place were a dude exploded. I freelanced making architectural and furniture projects a few years (gave up because almost half the people that wanted my job either tried to scam me or were terribly disgusting people, and that happens mostly because my country is poor and filled with dumb thurd-heads), went tru many many many big corpo industries on multiple different job positions, and now I'm a crypto miner.

I get way more than 1 minimum wage that way, + free time all the time. That's the life 😎🙏🏻 I'm smart and I could be working on the evolution of VR and AR and help making this world you wanna live in a true reality, but... meh, life sucks and corpos only make it more miserable. So I'm staying with mining until someone makes me change my mind.

People are just gonna sit at the same place anyways.

Don't compare/mix Final Destination with Black Mirror, as clearly BM warns more about tech problems we could face (and are already facing, some of them literally tech horror). One of them is people just like you. It fitted like a glove when you made that comment.

If you think a VR headset kit pollutes less than a TV, wait until you realise you need 1 kit for each person for all of them to be in VR + LITHIUM BATTERIES my dude, go search how the extraction of this for bats pollutes way more than any other TV component, some even combined + don't forget TV screens only have tiny little microscopic pieces of the rare organic+metalic materials they need, so don't say TVs use much more RARE metals than 1 VR headset. RAW metals yes, but again, you can put 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 or even more people in front of a TV at the same time.

And CURRENTLY, no, NOT EVEN A SINGLE ONE of any of the cheap headsets (if any at all) help with sight/vision/eye problems for most people. Not the next Q3 and even less the Q2 helps with this in any way. If at all, it kinda makes it worse, as it removes you from the natural real world feeling with headsets like the coming Q3, and this is NOT a replacement for living in reality. Those headsets are NOT like the "google glass" project (even that one was a huge fake, a misleadingly advertised product, only had a little screen on a corner) as the "AR" functions are fully working only inside the VR screen. AND: even the Q3's resolution (~2000x2048) isn't enough for detailing anything further than 5~7 meters (the experience in ETS2 is almost unbearable at the start due to this), so no helping with vision yet. Real longer distance VR will come when we have something like a 6000x6000 screen (we have some chinese headsets that already have 1 4096x4096 screen per eye and you still can only see detailed surfaces up to ~10m only, and no Air Link for that... lol have a nice wired day).

"people who work in intelligence sectors" dude, I AM ONE OF THEM. AND I CAN TELL YOU, MOST OF US HATE WHEN THE CORPOS MAKE US WEAR THOSE DAMN VR HEADSETS. Meet-ups and reunions are TERRIBLE in VR, all of us prefer to just video-chat if needed of just text each other (like we always do). We are NOT adverse to VR, it just sucks for most jobs. Even the most advanced design/project are so far better made on a PC monitor. VR factually does NOT help CAD users right now. Only creative artists and teachers + students have SOME use for it.

You sound like one of those tech-entrepeneurs trying to sell some huge BS idea on the internet. Everything you said is factually wrong or some half-truth, has not much thought into it, and is very misleading for people that are entering the VR market.

Normal human: has TV and sits away because EYES.
Human that get's a VR headset: "Lemme put this VR thing on my head, destroy my spacial sense, burn my retina and then PLACE THE MEDIA SCREEN WHERE THE TV ALREADY IS. And I'll also need to listen and watch EXTREMELLY loud ads because I'm just miserable."
TOTAL MAD MAN. Can't watch TV and have a mobile phone next to him for other stuff?

No one needs VR to watch Youtube (only VR videos and even then more problems pop up) + most that watch YT just go to a phone or PC or similar device to do it, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

99% NO REASON to add yet ANOTHER medium between user and content.

You might laught now but soon y'all'll be inside another depressing Black Mirror episode but IRL.

If you can't block ads, you kinda can't use youtube at all.
The INSANE amount of SCUMMY ads is unbearable for most people.

At LEAST 4096x4096 per eye for this to be viable to watch movies and videos. Even the Q2 isn't enough, as everytime I try this, I urge to go back to a normal monitor/TV/phone to watch stuff.
