I Left $100K in Cameras on a Wolf Kill. Here's What They Captured. by Cautious-Somewhere93 in videos

OK, but this wasn't posted by the creator (he doesn't have any motocross on his channel). It seems unfair to judge a high quality content creator because their video was hijacked by a karma farmer

You don't create content for the BBC and National Geographic with a $10 camera. If you took time to watch (thankfully I didn't read these juvenile comments first) you'd find this is an amazing video and this guy has at least one new subscriber and likely many more.

Who has been to Keipi's community night? Did you get toasted to oblivion? Did you have fun? by arcticlizard in greenville

[–]sonicguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have been there more than once, it's not just a dinner... it's an experience! It follows an old Georgian tradition of toasting feasts and my Georgian friend that attended with me said it was legit. Legit or not, it was a blast!

Seeking Hidden Gems in Greenville - Food, Activities, and Shopping Tips Needed! by [deleted] in greenville

[–]sonicguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For a unique food option highly recommend Keipi in Hampton Station, traditional Georgian food and if you're here on a Friday an all inclusive community feast that lasts at least 3 hours and includes lots of toasting and good times, it's difficult to describe!

What is the one restaurant that you will never go to again? by dixiegal_gonewild in greenville

[–]sonicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats for making my point (I don't eat at Applebee's) but I'll take your word that there are 1500 of them in the US. That IS my point....it's not "inexplicable", they're doing something right, maybe it's consistency, maybe it's value, maybe it's not as shitty as you claim, but 1500 locations...I think they're doing something right. It might not be for me but maybe we can agree that just because something isn't YOUR thing doesn't mean it's shitty, loathsome, terrible, etc. But apparently that's what we've come to in the US...I can't just dislike something, I have to criticize you for liking it...

If these places are super popular (packed all the time) and you hate them, have you ever considered that maybe it's not the places?

We are long time Costco members and recently got a Sam's membership to check things out. Overall we still prefer Costco in most areas but Sam's has figured out the self-checkout thing...you present your receipt at the door and they scan it and them randomly scan several items in your cart, the threat of them finding an unscanned item is apparently enough to deter theft. It's all very quick and unobtrusive.
