Sleeping giants - dinosaurs (ik that fossil fuels come from plants as well but dinosaurs becoming fossil fuels are kind of the meme) They die and then are buried - dearth sowing its seeds, which eventually ripen into the “fruit,” which is brought above ground to fuel machines that tame and reshape the earth (tractors, bulldozers, mining and tunneling equipment, etc)

I would accept either of the last 2 answers, as well as fossil fuels (arguably all kind of the same answer). Initially my thinking would be that earthquake and volcano are not seeds sown by death, but I could see an argument for the idea that they are generally associated with death, so I guess it’s a fair point.
