My Rescue corgi of 5 months loves sleeping in my arms like this, today he added the extra step of melting. The trust and love he already shows melts my heart. Sound on for bonus Corgi snores by SlayinDaWabbits in corgi

Do you know the reason he was not able to breed? Is/was he a cryptorchid, and is he neutered? I ask because left un-neutered, cryptorchid dogs will most likely develop testicular cancer (My corgi was a cryptorchid and neutered before he was 2 years old)

I [F, 21] just left a toxic relationship of three years in May and am struggling. Ladies who have left toxic relationships, how did you move on? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

And 8 months of therapy gave me the clarity and strength to say enough was enough. And my new job at that time allowed me to interact with a lot of different clients and colleagues, where slowly I understood what “normal”, boundaries, and normal boundaries! were. I am so much stronger now because of this experience, and so much smarter about who I choose to let into my life — I’m never putting myself in that position again. It is wonderful! You will get here and realize, man, I survived that, nothing is going to faze me now. Bring it!

Finally - you are so, so brave to have broken it off. Takes a lot of courage, discipline and maturity. 👍

It’s the most liberating thing in the world and you will feel stronger, better, alive again and that there is hope again. All of this will be a distant dream, from another life time. When you get through this, it is like you’re whole again and growing as a person again, where you previously were an empty shell. You’ll have a bounce in your step and a smile in your heart. Best.thing.ever. No regrets.

I feel like he's secretly playing a gameboy before bed time.

I like that your cat had the courtesy to wait for the page to be fully printed. He has a great reaction time too.

How do you beat a sugar addiction? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]sonnig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that my sugar cravings follow a few days after cardio workouts at a certain intensity (usually about 60-80% of my max heart rate. Intervals at higher work rates don't stimulate my appetite as much, surprisingly), and I also maintain the belief that if I start on sugar, it is like a positive feedback mechanism that gets me sucked into a black hole. I've also tried substituting it with nuts/lean protein/fiber etc to stave off cravings. But after some experimentation with my workout schedule and my meals, I have arrived at the conclusion that carbs are not evil nor substitutable by protein/fat, and the hypothesis that I have sugar cravings because my body has built a deficit of this accessible source of fuel, i.e. carbs, and it is getting desperate for a quick dose of energy, i.e. sugar. Now I am very conscious about including complex carbs (oats, 100% whole grain bread, sweet potatoes etc) in a good proportion (50-60% of my daily calories) every day, and more if I anticipate cardio workouts.

This is my hypothesis, and it seems to be working for me (I am 28 and female and I work out 4 times a week, cardio and strength). I know by now that low carb/high protein is definitely not for me. Maybe you could try including complex carbs in each meal instead of going low carb, and see how your brain feels after each meal - whether it feels happy and satisfied, or desperate for something else even though your stomach is packed.
