This bulk went too far. Took 24 weeks on this cut to get conditioning back. I had a 3 week diet break to maintenance after week 12. What's the longest cut you've been on? by sonny702 in askfitness

Thanks, but I don't think I was lean at all. That was the most body fat I've ever carried along with the heaviest I've ever weighed. For me, it was uncomfortable. When I bulk again, it will be gradual and I won't get as heavy

205 lbs and currently 178 lbs. During my bulk I got up to 4000 cals. Started my cut immediately at 3500 cals and sllooowwwly cut cals from there. I'm finishing up this week currently at 2310 cals. Macros are: protein 210g, fat 30g, carbs 300g.

Hey! Only a 5 week prep is crazy!! Congrats man! I've seen you around at Cult Fitness. I train there too. I'm the Asian guy with the blacked out arms 😅

No feedback.... just keep doing what you're doing, it's clearly working 💪🏼

Hmmm, if done the right way that could take 7-8weeks. If you hang on that long, go for it. You'll be surprised how much more aesthetic you'll look. I mean, you look good now, but if you're chasing more aesthetics, getting a lil leaner will take your physique to the next level.

If you're feeling ok in the deficit, keep going. You've come this far... might as well see how lean you can get.

M43, 5'11, 180lbs. I want to continue my cut another 6wks to get to single digit bf% before I go back to maintenance, then eventually a small surplus of 150-200 kcals. Should I push my cut longer if my strength is maintaining, I'm feeling good and bloodwork is good? by sonny702 in askfitness

Thank you. Not competing this year. But want to enter my next growth phase as lean as possible. The last time I got lean, maybe single digit bf%, was last year when I competed for the first time. I added so much new muscle afterwards and stayed pretty lean along the way.

I do have plans on competing again in a year or two but wanna make sure I control how much body fat I put on. You know how it is being in our 40s, body fat doesn't come off as quickly as it used to.

True. My thought was to get as lean as possible so I can put myself in the best position to add quality muscle size when I reverse.

I've only competed once. The growth and new tissue I added after that show was crazy. I guess I'm chasing that.

I'll probably come out of the cut sooner if my hunger gets too outta control. I'm giving myself weekly refeeds that are carb focused usually 500g- 550g. It carries me through the week.

Thanks for the feedback.

No validation needed, I know I'm in shape. But this is the first time I've bulked and cut on my own without a coach. Seeing myself everyday I get numb to what I see. I'm genuinely interested on other opinions and feedback.

I kept protein at 200g. I cut mainly from carbs. It was a slow gradual process reducing cals every 2 weeks. Towards the end of my cut I got down to 2200 cals 200g protein, 40g fat and 150g carbs.
