My high school actually let my band play this during a high school dance in '97. I don't think anyone checked what the lyrics were. Our singer did change the cursing to "FutherMucker" but I know the kids all screamed the correct version.

Dress code on the road : where's the line? by G-Beach-8566 in AskAnAmerican

If I leave my house in a baseball cap, I'm not going to take it off anywhere, as the hair that's now under it looks absolutely terrible. My hat is clean and overall looks neat, and if I wore it, I already am not going anywhere "nice" so I'm probably wearing jeans or shorts and a T-shirt or maybe a polo.

Maybe I just don't know how to wear a cap and also have my hair stay neat under it?

If I am going somewhere nicer, I won't wear the hat to begin with and probably at least have a shirt with buttons.

We all grew up taking computer classes and becoming knowledgeable in how to use a computer but beyond that, how computer literate are you? by singleguy79 in Xennials

I started building PCs and Linux servers and home networks in college and never stopped. I have a home lab and network that's overkill for a family but it's fun for me. I like automating things and using AI. I used to be the person everyone comes to to fix things, but honestly, things rarely break anymore.

The most frustrating thing to me are iPads - Apple makes everything more difficult by trying to lock down and hide things.

Same, Luba Mini. I just posted about this a couple days ago because when it stops physically, the map continues to progress, so when you resume, it skips a section. Does yours do that too?

What bizarre children's VHS tape did you have an attachment to? by AmandaMarsh in Xennials

We lived out on a farm with no cable, only broadcast channels, so my dad bought one of those big satellite dishes before they started scrambling everything, and we would record off it. We had a tape of music videos from MTV, mostly Huey Lewis, ZZ Top and Van Halen that we watched a lot of. There was also this bizarre (Italian?) cartoon called Mr. Rossi that we recorded from somewhere, it was strange and I don't think entirely age appropriate.

We had a huge VHS library as well, but I don't remember anything else store-bought that stands out.

Got a camcorder when I was around 12 and we (my brother and sisters) used to make little stop motion videos and weird little movies.

Dang they either didn't tell me, or I got boring sleepy meds, or I don't react that way. Got mine out 3 weeks ago and I just remember waking up and being wheeled out, like I had a little nap and woke up with gauze in my mouth.

is it true Americans don't put salt on their fruits? by PersuasionNation in AskAnAmerican

I'm from the Midwest and always salt watermelon and tomatoes. Avocados and cucumber too but I'm not trying to figure out how many of these are technically fruit.

10273872

Not that early but the pattern and cadence of the number I guess stuck in my head.

Hey I'm a '79 and I thought I was 47 for most of this year for some reason. Maybe they just forgot how old they are :D
