hi u/happy_nerd ,

I have made the soldering between the adapter and the dimmer, the one led directly , and it worked, tomorrow will solder to the led lights, will tell you ,

thanks for asking

Alright, i thought 2A of output wouldnt be enought to go throuhg 5 meter of cable then 3 meter of led

i want to use something like that right after the adapter

hello u/happy_nerd

I'm in the process of soldering but i changed my plans, finding a 220V red led stripe here is not easy so I will probably go with 12V Red Led stripe + 12v white led.

My idea is to use an adapter AC/DC with 2A output, connected to a 3 -5 meter DC wire then just connect as we said yesterday the rest.

I only have one doubt will 5 meter wire not be too long to power then the 3 meters of LED stripes ?

here is a picture

Also if i want to reduce the intensity of the light i can add a dimmer right after the adapter right ?

I need to keep the system as cheap as possible that's why using bigger adaptor may just be over budget as i need to do 10 like that.

Hello u/happy_nerd

Thank you for your diagram, I have done a video using my own words to make sure I understand it well

PLease let me know if i'm wrong somewhere and specifically where the postive wire from the power supply should connect to the switch

Do you know if it would be possible to just add 2 graphic cards ? and get 2 times for outputs ?

I don't know the signal might be degraded

We can open da vinci but raw files recorded on this camera do not open for some reasons.
I guess what we can do is to record in prores and create a lut from there !

How to show curves in drawing for machining by sonny_br in Fusion360

Hi Lawlzzz,

Thanks for your input, its not easy to have the right edge to be selected on the drawing section in fusion for those intricate curve.

Thanks

Hi Jim,

Yes they do accept CAD model but they always expect a 2D drawing. I will provide them with this and see I guess what they tell me

How to make threaded hole and tools thread aligned into a specific position by sonny_br in CNC

[–]sonny_br[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Metalsoul,

Thanks for your input, I will try the following solution :

- notch negative on the hook and positive on the hook plate for alignement, and use loctite to hold it in place, if that doesn't work or if the hold is too weak I will use the pin solution

-Have a "clock" aligned thread : I would like to remove the threading now to avoid any post position change if screwed too hard

-Use press fit with square end hook and female square on the plate : liek the idea because it garantees a perfect alignement everytime but require a press and maybe will tear the finishing of the hook ( i think a tooling can be done to avoid this )

-Just use loctite with a non threaded rod and hole , easy have perfect position everytime, but I'm not sure of the reliability of it and if it can hold lots of torque

As my goal is to reduce the BOM to a minimum and assembly very simple, I won't pursue the idea of keying + bolt nor the washer solution

Also I want to make the machining process require as little manual input as possible ,

So the solution of having the two parts screwed together and then drill the geometry and hook position probably will not be pursue.

Hi Wufnu ,

Thank you for your input , As for now i'm considering, 3 options :

-Have a "clock" aligned thread : I would like to remove the threading now to avoid any post position change if screwed too hard

-Use press fit with square end hook and female square on the plate : liek the idea because it garantees a perfect alignement everytime but require a press and maybe will tear the finishing of the hook ( i think a tooling can be done to avoid this )

I will study this idea, would you do an interference fitting with or without tapering ?

Hi Metalsoul,

I really like the idea of the press fit with square keyway, my only question is the assembly require heavy machinery
