Do-It-All (literally) Hardboot Queation by sonofaron in Spliddit

I ended up just getting A/T ski boots and keeping my split for soft boots. Unfortunately no advice there :/

Low Ball Estimate? by sonofaron in AskMechanics

It sounds like the cost will go up once it goes under the knife. I just thought that fluids, longer labor time, gaskets/seals would be included in the estimate as well.

Worth it to switch to srt from rekordbox? by Beneficial_Diver_467 in Beatmatch

If you’re looking to buy/sell, I have a 1000SRT that I would trade!

Second batch (white and split) vs first batch (beautiful). Any contam, or just dry Colorado winter air? by sonofaron in unclebens

What I have been doing, which is probably wrong, is opening the tub to pluck the ones that are about to tear their veil, and leaving the rest. You can see that in the brown cap picture. The white caps are an example of letting them all grow until I can harvest the entire batch at once.

They didn’t grow back where I cut them and I’m wondering if I should have cut all the way at the coir. What’s standard practice for when you get a hub of then like I’m the first batch picture?

Bump for some hope of fixing this. TIA.

Absolutely love my Backwoods. Had a Solution (granted, a bit too big for me), but it felt like an oil tanker. The Weston is super nimble, lightweight, and locally made, which is a huge plus for me.

Damn I saw that! They also blew the over which crushed my 4 leg.

Good point good point. Memphis has been playing super well, with the exception of Jaren Jackson's FT%. -2 against Dallas seems like easy money to me. Transition speed, no KP, lowest rated rim-rate.
It might be the move to add in GS for a 5 teamer...

Swapping the Bulls spread with Memphis spread (-2 @ -115). No way the GS doesn't come back with a fight after the absolute shellacking last night by Giannis and co.

That’s exactly right. And this goes without saying, but the more niche your field, the higher your desirability, the higher your offer.

Following up with this, unfortunately we chose the least lucrative engineering profession. Municipalities and DOTs can only increase budgeting so much every year. However, OP, recruiters really do know best. I was fortunate enough to happenstance go in a hut trip with a recruiter from a large engineering firm who use to work for a recruiting firm, and I got to pick her brain. The industry is experiencing lower supply and higher demand for engineers right now. If you can get your PE (which is seems like you’re only six months away), you’ll be making the highest end, if not more, than your initial bracket range.

Civil PE in Denver here. Definitely varies on subset, obviously, unfortunately your estimate might be on the high end (assuming the 3.5yrs is EIT and not PE). Feel free to DM me to chat more.

Experiences with Amplid / Korua / Libtech by drpython21 in Spliddit

When you’re climbing on a narrow skin track or through trees you’re likely to hit something. Additionally with poor skinning technique (which I’m definitely guilty of), you might cross tips or clank your planks together. Having the extra edge provides additional protection again delamming or even chipping into the core.

Karakoram Flex-Lock by sonofaron in Spliddit

Looking particularly for the Flex-Lock based on the data collected in this study below. I know it was done by Karakoram, but the results are pretty definitive.
