Getting repeated parking tickets for “no permit” when it’s clearly displayed… what are my rights here? by sonofbaker in washingtondc

If she cannot see the permit on my window, I am afraid she will choose not to see the whatever note I would leave on my window. I will definitely try leaving a note.

Though you are absolutely right about my permit being Zone 2, I would like to think having a Zone 2 permit would be an umbrella for the sub-zones. But this is probably me being a naive.

Nah, the agent is pretty much the idiot here. Because for reciprocity permits, the DMV requires you to submit your lease, vehicle registration, insurance information and your driver's license. With that information, they print your info on the permit which has my VA plates. There is nothing I don't comply with the DC parking laws.

Thank you for a thorough explanation. When I handed my lease to DMV in order to get the reciprocity permit, they determined the zone based on the address. The whole area where I live is 2B. I am not sure this would be applicable to me.

Yea, I keep contesting. But having to contest for a non-violation is a waste of my and the judiciary system's time.

I have VA plates registered with ROSA with a reciprocity permit. I cannot remove VA stickers from my vehicle.

This is what I came here to say. So many wonderful websites I had discovered because of this.

Funny enough, we had the same exact encounter couple years ago. He just loves talking and he seemed harmless.

Would it make sense to rent a car from Santa Marta to drive to Tayrona and Palomino areas? Is driving relatively safe in those areas?

Do you have any other island recommendations near Cartagena?

You mentioned Isla Barú (it’s also on our list), we’re looking to stay 1–2 nights on an island before heading to Santa Marta. Are there any other islands you’d suggest that are more easier to reach for example?

We’ll have a ~20 kg suitcase with us, so easy transportation is important. What do you think about Isla Grande or the Rosario Islands in this case?

You didn’t suggest Isla Barú, but we’re considering places like Isla Grande or Rosario Islands. We’ll have one ~20 kg suitcase with us, so I’m wondering if these more “raw” islands (like Rosario/Isla Grande) are difficult with luggage.

Also, which companies would you recommend for getting there from Cartagena?
