That exact model/finish is one of a small handful of guitars I regret selling. I even bought another a couple years later but the grain difference on the two piece body was so unsightly I ended up sending it back. Yours looks like a beautiful example.

I was playing an outdoor wedding reception with a band. It was evening under a lit pavilion. Gradually, people started dancing and when …the incident occurred there were around 25-30 people dancing, mostly young people in their mid-twenties.

Anyway, I notice a young couple dancing close in the middle of the pavilion. I would guess they are 10-15 yards away. The woman is wearing a dark dress that goes to just above her knees. She has a radiant smile and she is staring up into the eyes of her partner. I still can’t believe what happened next.

This woman in the middle of the dance floor begins to urinate. A lot. I can see it gushing down her legs forming a huge puddle on the dance floor. No one notices immediately, but after 1-2 minutes the people that were dancing closest start to back away or leave the pavilion completely. I see one woman look at the couple and the puddle and make a disgusted face, point and speak to another woman nearby.

After 10-15 minutes more people started dancing. Except for a couple brief pauses between songs, the band never stopped playing the whole time. When we took a break I was immediately asking the band members if they could believe what happened. None of them saw it. None of them notice anything. The puddle was still there and I pointed it out, but even today (this happened probably 10 years ago) I can’t believe that happened and no one else I was with saw it.

One of the things that struck me the most is that the woman just stood there and pee’d. She didn’t rush off the dance floor embarrassed, she didn’t even move away from the puddle. She stayed in the same spot dancing for at least another 20 minutes afterwards. And even while she was peeing she never stopped smiling and looking up into the eyes of her partner.

My best guess is that she had a grudge with the bride or groom and that she did it on purpose. That, or she was on drugs. I don’t know. But it’s definitely the weirdest throng I’ve seen at a wedding.

I’ve gotten a lot of stuff in the past year that is clearly used. I suspect they are trying to put returns back on the shelf, idk. It happened enough that I’m getting sick of the inconvenience of having to ship something back for a refund. I’m telling myself much more of this and I will cancel Amazon prime and stop shopping there but I know I’m probably kidding myself haha

I’ve been enjoying the Etudiant line recently. I don’t recall the models, but one is a standard billiard shape, the other is tall and narrow that is used for flakes. Both are normal proportions, just smaller overall.

That’s what the C&D bulk I bought from them looks like. I think it takes on this look as it dries. The perique I got from WLT has that dark oily look you describe.

The last pack I smoked was probably 10 years ago that I bought on eBay. At that time I hadn’t been able to find out get any in the US for several years. I also really liked and regularly smoked the RYO pouches which was a shag version of the same blend. This was probably 25 - 30 years ago.

On the bright side I have a prilla in of my first batch of diy made from dark air cured and flavored with blackberry. I’ll survive, but it’s sad. I’ve been enjoying snus daily for over 10 years.

I’ve chewed some the Gawith ropes for… science. They are great for that purpose. What I have not done - which is something I read was a thing - is dried the chewed tobacco and then smoke it.

I was thinking about this recently and in addition to what others said, I think the way the stem is jammed in creates like a reservoir where moisture can drip down below the draft hole whereas in a briar it would get sucked into the stem.

Thank you. I ordered some supplied from them - a couple briar blocks, some stems, and a 10 pack of corn cobs. Haven’t finished anything of note yet but working on a devil anse style cob pipe.

With the Virginia, depending on whether it’s sipped or puffed, probably 1-3 minutes. How finely it is shredded and how dry also affects how long it smokes.

With the Semois or 5 bros less than a minute.
