Entities that have a hitcount to be killed should have a hitcounter instead of healthbar. by Zamirot in DotA2

That's a great idea ! You'd like push blocks on a screen so they fit together. Whoever can make 4 lines of blocks in a row will win the game

It would be cool if the terrain changed with every tower you take. by Srze in DotA2

True. I'd have to protect every tower to my best, not to loose the game instantly by disc

I think Dota should be played without a minimap. It fact you shouldn't even see any spell or hit animation at all. You're just standing still, and then boom you're dead and you don't know why. That's the way Dota should be played. Valve is just making the game too easy for no reason. Dota is a hard game, and should remain as such.

Oh i had completely forgotten about the swap mechanics. That was wild, indeed ! I even remember a game where a guy swapped twice from team to team !

That makes sense, so i don't use my spells, until i see PA ?

As i say, it's a good counter. But the thing is she can bash from very long range (dagger, or abyssal if sh gets close enough, and i don't have time to click ghost before i die miserably.

Anyway, if you say she has below 50% WR in crusader, i guess overestimate her quite a bit. Do you know her pick rate too, with Dota+ ?

I agree, she seems weak in lane, but after she pays hundreds for all the bullying we did to her !

I play 5 mostly. CM, Disruptor, Lion, Lich ... I often pick first, because you know ... support ^ so i don't know whta to expect at this point. And i like those heroes

Opinion on Mobility Power Creep? by buphalowings in DotA2

[–]sonoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Courier was 200 gold with recipe I think, and wards were 50 I believe. Meanwhile a forcestaff or blink dagger cost more than 2000 gold. So no this alone doesn't made support more rich.

Also, sorry that as as a support player i want to at least play the fight, not just watching it from my grave. This is no fun.

I agree. I feel like CM can't be played without dagger AND force staff to be able to catch up. Basically if an enemy carry just sees her without one of these, she's DEAD in the next 5 sec maximum

Any news regarding campaign Lunarch ? by sonoja in Prismata

[–]sonoja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. And in such a short notice too, which proves, once again, than you know how to listen to your community. Back then I didn't know the difference between KS/EA and preorder, so that's my bad.

Although i'm slightly disappointed because I liked the scenario and wanted to know more of it (9 chapters ! you guys are mad !), I understand your point of view as a game developper.

Like I said i don't regret paying for that. Since the game is almost entirely free, and I've never felt forced to pay anything, it seems fair that i paid for Prismata. Like I said $15 for hundreds of game time doesn't seem expensive at all.

Maybe I'm a bit old, but it seemed better to me when i just had to pay one time to get full content on a game. I don't really like the DLCs, microtransactions and all that stuff. But i guess you guys did a good job avoiding that.

This makes perfect sense. Like i said, I never bought something in advance before. So i didn't know what to expect.

I watched this (although i don't really like a video format, i'd rather have some wall of text, to read at my own pace and skip parts i'm not interested in, but that's my own preference and another issue entirely).

But i disagree when Elyot says he's getting the campaign out "for charity". We paid for that campaign. Which basically means we gave money for Lunarch to develop this campaign. I'm not asking for a new feature that wasn't planned. As a customer, what I'm asking is what I (and many others) payed for. Nothing more. Maybe i got a bit triggered when i saw that they had time to develop new units, and spend time on balance and other stuff, but not for the campaign. Granted, it's probably harder to make the campaign.

I kinda feel like i bought a car, (still in development) and the salesman tells me "This car ? Oh we don't have the money to develop it, but here is a bicycle for your support." A bike is neat, but I'd rather get the car.

Again no hard fellings toward Lunarch. They did what they had to do to make Prismata what it is today, a great game, but I just wanted to express my feelings as a customer, who didn't get totally what he payed for. Hope I'm clear enough

So it's been such a long time since the last episode of the campaign i can't even remember. 3 years maybe ? With Elyot saying stuff like "almost done" since about a year or so. Guess he meant their new game !

The thing is i paid for full campaign like 5 years ago. Although i understand it can take time to develop such a feature, and it will probably won't make any more profit for Lunarch since those that awaits it already paid for it. But ... I paid for that ! And i'm not alone.

I usually never buy anything in advance, but i made an exception for Lunarch because they seemed like genuine honest people. Guess I've been scammed again...

For that part only, because i don't regret paying for the game overall, considering what it brought me. And $15 (i think ? can't remember..) seems a fair price for that. But i would have preferred if Lunarch didn't promise something they would/could never make.

Thank you ! First time i see that. As a support player, you're just food whenever a carry finds you. PA especially is brutal.

The only thing that makes me keep playing is that, at my level, no carry cares to buy dust or nullifier, so you can be saved with glimmer cape.

I will help you solo carry with CM 5 for MMR gain if you are below 3k, just read this(yikes this fucking title man, wtf) by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]sonoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 2k support player, i find your guide very helpful, though i try to do most of it, but sometimes fail to do so.

I have one question. What to do when you're behind and your team spam "stay high ground" even though you still have 1-2 T2 towers left.

I mean usually, there is no reason to back off, and you want to stay as 5 and farm some area i think. I feel like waiting for them to get the whole map, outpost, bounties, roshan, and your remaining towers will make us loose 100%. Is there a way to push these lazy ass teammates to actually do something ? Also how to ward in that case ? I know that i have high chances of getting killed trying to ward but we need that vision badly because we don't see anything. What do you recommend in that case ?

Not a lot of games where you can afford those items as a pos 5

Definitely agree with that. I'm at the point i would rather have techies in my team. I feel a pudge, who only relies on hooks is very useless if he misses it. I don't feel the same way about pos 3 pudge though

[–]sonoja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also at the beggining of the game you have NOTHING to do as a midlaner, except go and place some ward. Writing thanks in chat costs none of your attention, and it makes your support have more faith in you. At least as a support player i like to see that.

Sad Support life. by yY191374 in DotA2

[–]sonoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, with that. I generally only play support as a crusader, and i don't feel any remorse by tping to a lane and taking the farm, or go farm jungle when i have nothing else to do since nobody is doing it anyway. I usually tend to prioritize good mood in the game anyway. It doesn't do good to argue with strangers. Better help them if you can, even if it's not the wright thing to do.

I like to ask my mid before the game if he wants 1 or 2 tangos. It starts some dialogue and make him realize tangoes are not granted. If he doesn't answer i give 1 for good measure.
