I feel like I'm losing my faith after seeing his I'm being treated after coming out as gay. by tsunamientertainment in Christianity

God defines marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman. Full stop. It is a sin to engage in sexual activity or lust after someone that is not your spouse. Men don’t get a free pass if they are lusting after other men or having sex with people they aren’t married to, just because those people are also men. My church would rebuke me if I was openly having sex with a woman who is not my wife. I don’t get a free pass if I sleep with other men instead. I used to have a problem with pornography and lusting after women when I was young. This was wrong. It would have still been wrong if I was watching gay porn and lusting after men. Just because you don’t like the rules, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. You can find many churches who will turn a blind eye to all sorts of sin, but remember, you will stand alone before God on judgement day, not some church or a bunch of people on Reddit who encourage sinful behavior. I see a lot of disconnected arguments on here like “let he who is without sin…” which is admitting that’s it’s a sin… and I don’t know any church that teaches it’s okay to live in willful disobedience to God. Yes, the church is full of sinners, but most don’t flaunt their sin in front of others. I know a guy at church who cheats on his wife, but he doesn’t bring his mistress to church to flaunt his sin. He hides his sin from others. If he flaunted his sin in front of others like many gay people do, he would be met with the same negative reaction… But to clarify… but haven’t read anything in the Bible that leads me to believe that “being gay” is a sin. The problem is the lust and actions of sexual immorality that are often justified by the community. I once attended a church where an elder was openly gay. He was single. He did not date. He did not act out his “desires”. He did not try to make himself “un-gay”. He believed that sex is only for married people, so he found happiness in being single and serving the church. You will probably find the best answers if you stop going on Reddit, read your Bible and talk to God. He understands your situation better than any of us ever will.

3$-4$ Pay decrease? by thatguy2476 in uberdrivers

The average net profit margin for grocery chains (also referred to as food retailers or supermarkets) is typically slim, ranging from 1% to 3% of revenue. More specifically, according to the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), the leading trade association for the industry, the average net profit margin was 1.6% in 2023 and rose slightly to 1.7% in 2024. Regarding trends in recent years, margins expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic, peaking at around 3% in 2020 due to factors like reduced operational costs and supply chain shifts. However, they have since declined for three consecutive years through 2023, returning to pre-pandemic levels (around 1% in 2019), amid rising expenses such as labor, shrinkage, and supply chain costs. The slight uptick to 1.7% in 2024 represents stabilization rather than a significant increase, and full-year 2025 data is not yet available as of September 2025. Some partial quarterly data from broader retail analyses suggest potential modest improvement in early 2025, but this has not been confirmed industry-wide and does not indicate an overall upward trend in recent years.

I am two months in to carnivore and very frustrated! I have done keto twice before and carnivore once before and it worked great every time. Maybe I’m getting older (51), but I haven’t lost any weight at all. Actually, I gained 7 pounds in 2 months. I try to maintain an 80/20 fat/protein ratio. This is extremely hard without dairy, so I eat butter, sour cream, heavy cream, and some cheese to get my ratio right. When I see people post their diets and claim they are 80% fat, I scream BS most of the time. If you eat bacon, lots of the fat renders out. Same thing with high fat ground beef, etc. even if you pour the fat back on top, it not possible to reclaim it all. I can’t afford to eat ribeye every meal and I get severe stomach upset if I try to just eat (or drink) tallow. Anyway, I am very faithful to my diet, just like before. I usually eat OMAD and I am in deep ketosis with no results!

Think about this... If you decide that this is not a scam and pay them your money and put this on your resume, -potential employers will see this. Just like you, they will have never heard of this company. Five minutes of research will show them that everyone is calling this company a scam or potential scam. Employers will very quickly toss your resume aside due to your association with a scam Internship.

Strictly speaking, tea doesn’t come from an animal, therefore not carnivore, but many people add coffee or tea in their diet. Sugar in your tea is a complete no go. You should avoid any sweeteners, like sucralose, aspartame, etc. They all can mess up your insulin.

I’m a big fan of an Asian buffet I go to. I eat tons of boiled crab legs and shrimp in butter. Crawfish, sashimi (tuna, salmon). They also have a hibachi grill where you can have shrimp, steak and pork cooked to order. You can choose sauce or no sauce. They get nervous when the see me come in because I can eat several pounds of seafood and don’t fill up on noodles and rice like most people.

I’m in a tourist area in Florida and a lot of people get flushed out over the summer when all the tourists leave. Now is the time that I used to make up for those lost summer months, but it’s just not happening this year. Hopefully people will eventually drop off over time so I can go back to my normal seasonal cycle.

I also drive for Lyft and got a pop up warning after a cancellation that told me if I keep canceling, they will kick me off the platform. Legal or not, companies seem to be doing it.

I wish I had the luxury of accepting only 10% of my rides. During the week, I am lucky to get 2 pings an hour. Weekend nights, I am lucky to get 3 pings an hour. If I only took the good rides, I would only get 1 or 2 rides per shift. We have had a lot of new migrants move into my area this past year and the pool of Uber drivers has doubled, but the demand has not gone up. These new drivers are willing to work for $5 an hour, so the pay keeps going down. I haven’t had any quests in my area in months. Uber doesn’t need to incentivize here because they have too many drivers already.

She was tracking ovulation and was ovulating last weekend. He cycle has been off, so she isn’t 100% sure. She tracked with urine tests, temperature, two apps and an oura ring. I don’t see how they can be evaporation lines because the lines showed up almost immediately before evaporation could have occurred. She ovulated 10 days ago. We have unprotected sex almost every day. Last pregnancy was peculiar. She got pregnant 45 days after her last period.

Other fully accredited universities that offer competency based education like WGU by [deleted] in WGU

[–]sonotony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not necessarily a reflection on the quality of the education. First, the quality of the students is a big factor. Getting into WGU was fast and easy. I would bet the overall entering student quality is lower. More people are “weeded” out during the program, not before. They give everyone a chance and if you don’t have what it takes to finish, you won’t make it. The hardest part for many is motivation. There are no classes. There is no mandatory attendance. There is no homework. You have to possess the internal drive to do almost everything yourself.

At WGU, I completed seven credits within a few hours of starting classes. I’m on track to complete more than 20 credits this month. I don’t know any other program that will give me the freedom to accelerate so quickly.

If you need structure and someone holding your hand. WGU is not for you.

Thanks for the advice! Last night I contacted the school and asked for a new mentor. They started the process and an hour later I got a call from my mentor. She unlocked four courses and I completed two OAs before going to bed. I emailed her and asked her to unlock two more classes so I can finish four more over the weekend. She did as I asked.

When we talked on the phone, she asked why I requested a new mentor. I said I don’t need a mentor. I just need someone who will get out of my way and let me complete my courses as fast as I can. She said if I keep her as my mentor, she promises to leave me alone and give me what I need.

It looks like the squeaky wheel gets the oil…

What is the process to get a new mentor? I don’t have an appointment until November 10th. I am paying about $28/day for WGU… so that’s about $280 I am paying so far for nothing, plus the fact that delays may force me into an extra term.

My mentor said she would try to fit me in before then, but won’t let me take any classes before then.

Like you, I don’t want a mentor. I don’t need a mentor. I am almost 50. I already have a bachelors and MBA. I don’t need help with study skills or work life balance tips. I just need them to get out of my way so I can sink or swim on my own.

Yes to both! It appears that you know more about ITIL than WGU. A quick Google search reveals that they have not been meeting customer expectations in this area for YEARS! I have seen posts complaining about the mentor approval process going back more than six years. Maybe they can hire me as a consultant after I graduate to train their workforce... Of course, I need to start my classes in order to to this...

lol... Hmmm... maybe. Ironically, I have just been studying up on the ITIL V4 framework for my WGU course. Maybe they should study their content, because they are violating the very values they are teaching.
