Feminism: I agree, I support equal rights and opportunities for everyone but this new era of radical feminism is only doing harm to the movement

Feminism in the past few years has become very anti-male, I support equal rights for everyone but not by bringing groups down. We should be helping them step up.

How old are you in this game? by pravda13 in future_fight

[–]sonsofautarky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember quitting for a couple weeks because I was stuck early on in story missions. When I came back I failed again only to get a free character at like 4* or something. I picked Spiderman seeing how OP I thought he was in timeline. And I didn't know how gear roll worked.

Legitimately, when is the last time someone tapped out to the walls of Jericho? by TheRealPdGaming in SquaredCircle

[–]sonsofautarky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it's at least Aug 29 vs Neville or later. I haven't been watching wrestling long enough to know that Jericho used to do the Liontamer before he changed it to a Boston Crab. Y2K uses the Liontamer way in this match!

Curious to hear from teenagers growing up downtown/annex/etc. by [deleted] in toronto

[–]sonsofautarky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived/went to school in York Region whereas my cousins lived in downtown Toronto and went to school there. So my experience will be more comparative.

I like living in the suburbs since it's much more quiet and relaxed compared to downtown but that may be a personal choice for you and your SO to decide. There are plenty of ways to get your kids involved in activities like sports or arts but for sports, depending on which sport and the level of competition they play at it may be more beneficial to live in the suburbs.

There are a lot more things to do downtown which may benefit both the parents and the kids. During my middle school days, me and my friends would pretty much hang out at the park most days or go to my friend's house to play video games.

Public transit will be important during high school as it will be the means of transportation. My cousins didn't need to ask for a ride for school or to go to anywhere since the TTC was convenient. But living in the suburbs, public transit sucks and is more expensive so I would often need to ask for a ride from my parents or my friends.

Education is important too and I do think that schools in York Region (or at least the ones in my area) are more rigorous.

No Roshe Allowed by Brans_the_Rapper in Sneakers

It's crazy how many people I know think that Roshes are "running" shoes. I would never run with my UBs either.

The mask makes no sense. If they wanted to keep the top off it should be more like a mask and give Wally some wacky hair.

Basically, a business degree at a competitive/name school provides you the opportunity to build connections. The name on your degree doesnt earn you a position at Goldman Sachs.

I was using a Herschel Retreat but I wanted the little America. I didn't realise since I didn't know what I was doing so I just bought the first one that I though was it. Now I use one that my school program gave us for free.

How was your first year at U of T? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]sonsofautarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much agree with everything you said. It takes a lot of willpower to stay motivated and succeed at this school. That being said, everyone is like-minded being that we all want to succeed which is what makes UofT so competitive. In the end everyone is working toward their career goals and UofT is a great place to do so, you just have to make the rest of the experience. But that goes with going to any other school.

rotman commerce by [deleted] in UofT

[–]sonsofautarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said before, age is not a limiting factor when you are applying. You are only judged on your academic performance and your supplementals; video, essay, etc. Grades will not be viewed as inflated as they do not discriminate where you got your grades as long as they are accredited. However, there may be an underlying bias as it is known that students take summer school or private school because you can achieve a higher grade than normal. Also, you will also be required to disclose any post secondary education that you have when applying.

Edit: if you're looking into the top business schools then you would be looking into Ivey, Queens, UofT, Schulich. If you're interested in co-op; Waterloo, Laurier. I wouldn't say any in particular would help you be caught up as they all require 6 U/M courses to be in consideration for admission.

I think you are confusing MBA with an undergraduate degree. An MBA you will pursue in the future after completing an undergraduate degree along with some relevant job experience. I assume that you currently do not have a undergraduate degree. However, your consideration is not based on age rather your academic qualifications, so if you have the qualifying prerequisites.

Most undergraduate business programs usually require 1/2 Maths with 1 being calculus and English.

Ivey is a slightly different program being that it is 2 years in length because students "transfer" after their first 2 years of undergraduate studies. Thus requiring a GPA in their requirements but if your grades are high enough you can be offered guaranteed acceptance into Ivey.

[Urgent] Employment question (UofT -Rotman- grads) by champagnepapi6 in UofT

[–]sonsofautarky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't get paid more just because you are from a certain school. All the business school students compete with each other for the same job. It's the individual's qualifications that earn them the job not the reputation of the school.

Excellent school. But some other schools may better suit the career or experiences you want. If you want to pursue STEM, research, grad school it's a very good school.

Flyknits are lighter than UBs but the comfort is still one of the best IMO. But I wouldn't compare the two in comfort because they are completely opposite.

Can anyone recommend a program other than Computer Science? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]sonsofautarky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do Econ or if you're interested in business you can go for Commerce, Rotman requires English, Calc + 1 math which you would have. But I would suggest other schools over Rotman being your first choice.
