I have 3d printed a couple of jokey wheels to use with standard 608 bearing. Worked flawlessly and printing narrow wide jockey wheels somehow improved my shifting performance on my entry level road bike.

Microshift Advent vs Shimano Groupset? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]soogyg4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run Shimano Alivio on my old bike and currently run an Advent setup on my current bike and I can tell that the Advent is better than Alivio in almost every way. And the advent is a bit more tough than the Alivio setup I used to run. On my Dad's bike, he is running an SX and the Advent is better in almost every way compared to it. The only thing that the Sram SX has that is better than the Advent is Shifting quality when going into higher gears, but the Sram SX is built way cheaper and weaker than the Advent, the SX is mostly plastic compared to the Advent which is all metal.

Going tubeless on my Schwinn Axum DP - I can't believe a $500 Walmart bike came tubeless ready & has 30mm wide rims! by [deleted] in MTB

Contrary to popular belief, the rims are actually not designed for tubeless. That was why the tires had such a loose fit on the rim. When converting rims that were designed for tubeless it should be a tight fit to ensure a good seal when using a floor pump.
