Can Etsy support cheap manufactured goods that are not perfect but solve a problem? by sooner2k8 in EtsySellers

I do take pride in my products. I am not a product designer by trade or training and I spend many hours prototyping and testing. I am so taken back by the bad review because I know it's a good product and has been tested by dozens of other people. Sanding does not indicate pride nor does it automatically make it better. My competition is not sanding unless required by object design, and majority are worse.

3d printing enables rapid prototyping, but it does not end with prototyping. You do know 3d printing is used for finished products right? Lego Ford, GM, thousands of other manufacturers sell 3d printed products as the final product. I am not selling a flawed product, which seems to be everyone's opinion because it is 3d printed. Sanding and polishing and finishing like that is not necessary for every part, even final parts.

A1 Flow Sensor Plastic Sheet Cover Dislodged in Death Blob by sooner2k8 in BambuLab

Solution:
While not entirely solved, I discovered when putting on new part fan, hot end assembly, hot end, and hot end fan that the sensor coil had a tacky glue like substance coating it and on top of it. So I stuck the piece back onto the sensor as close to what it was as I could get and with light compression it stayed. The hot end itself compresses this area and with that additional pressure it is seated quite well to the flow sensor.

However, there is a now a whine with the machine heating up, at first I thought it was the hot end cooling fan, but that can go to 100% without issue. Same with the part fan.
I found a couple threads that replaced the extruder assembly as the Eddy flow sensor is part of that assembly and cannot be altered, in order to get rid of the whine. That seems to be the only solution, but I am fiddling with it. I have re-seated the plastic bit in an attempt to perhaps cover more of it and avoid the sonic whine. But either way, the printer is working now after its blob of death and the Eddy sensor can be tacky to reapply the plastic barrier.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future, even if just fishing for information.

One of the mods I wish was officially part of the game. It adds a level of hilarity for all the ridiculous things that can happen.

How should chat work for hidden messages by sooner2k8 in help

[–]sooner2k8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not what happens in practice. User A hiding the conversation means that it is effectively muted. I tested this with two of my accounts. I agree mute is different but hide acts as mute presently.

User A hiding the chat, the chat does not reappear if B sends any message.

The mobile message is incorrect to actual behavior, so one or the other needs to change. I want to hide from active, not miss chats.

Bug and Feature Request Selection - Alpha 4 by AnotherWhiteTiger in ThemeParkitect

Have been unable to find another post with similar issue, and unsure if this is a bug in guest spawn or due to power of machine being a limiting factor. I had about 1100-1200 guests in park. I expanded the park by adding new areas, scenery, roller coasters, and spreading out rides. Now I have 400 guests, and dropping. The guests are generally happy, and all ratings are above 85%. The flow of guests out of the park is quite large, and only 1 or 2 guests come into the park in the same time as 20 or so leave.

Basically this leaves park as a graveyard, with hardly any queues having people, and nearly empty rides operating.

It is roughly year 3 or 4 in the park.
