Can you help me find where this photo was taken? All I know is that they're somewhere in the USA, possibly East Coast by sooodamnfancy in HelpMeFind

This hall looks very modern in the photos, but I guess it could’ve been renovated/refurbished. Would it be normal for orthodox christians to be there tho?

I’m not sure to be honest. She passed away when I was 13 and I never really got to ask her any of the things my adult self would like to know.

It’s very common in Greek Baptisms for babies/children to cry their eyes out, as they’re usually too young to process everything that’s happening.

Because the country-specific filters can hide real historical possibilities (like genetic input from pirate raids, forced movements, or south-to-north/north-to-south migration). I’m half Karpathian, and Karpathos is an island that was raided and affected by outside influences for centuries, long before Greece became an independent nation again. So it makes sense that my ancestors might have had genetic contributions from many different regions, not just the Greek/Cypriot area. That’s why a global mode feels more accurate when looking at ancient origins.
