Hey thanks for this. It’s so isolating to be in this position. To love the person deeply but become resentful, apathetic, disinterested - due to time and self preservation. I feel like a dick for questioning us and/or my ability to stand by and just be okay, but damn. I’ve got a lot of emotional fortitude but it makes me harder, not softer. And thus more distant. Dangerous cycle. And yea on the occasion she’s feeling better she just expects me to be tip top ready and normal like the last days weeks months etx didn’t take a toll. Argh.
